bubblegoose
just tightening up the strut towers as 30 year old mild steel has a tendency to creak and twist haha strut bar comes later (when i can be arsed to make it) pulled out some skanky moldy carpet (notice the sound system in the back) scraped some old crap off the floor apparently its sound proofing to me its just 20kgs of unnecessary horse crap and tar seal after alot more heating and scraping (and a wee paint on the bar metal) got some new seats currently being road tested by my mate dave (my sisters monkey) finished scraping the sound deadening up and painting any random color over the bare metal

bubblegoose
constipating on tail pipe position haha i make it look soo hard linked the 2 parts together so i can make the twist on a bench not on my back in awkward positions yes i know some of the pipe is 2.25"(magoo) and some is 2.15"(toyota camry) but i saved a fair bit of money and its only the tail pipe after the final muff so i don't think it really matters gutted the rear painted this stuff on, the most fantastic stuff ever, you try to be real careful and an hour later you look like they guy off the marmalade jar new leafs 2.5" drop and have an extra center leaf for stiffy goodness eww yumm, smurf diff

bubblegoose
stripped my motor down to bare bones today needs re-bore crank regrind new bearings, pistons and rings (naturally) more than i was hoping to do but thats cars i guess also probably the damaged caused by boosting a non boostable engine (pretty sure the some goon had done a half arsed turbo conversion on this N/A engine) so will have the rods and crank and block checked for strightivity
bubblegoose
little up date... polished the FUCK out of my 50 over pistons for some pointless blingage (note previous melted valve damage to squish band) got a flywheel which is going off to be lightened the fuck up cleaned out and tested my rather epically huge oil cooler (RX7 FTW!) possible have some super lumpy re-grinds on there way??? looking at the head with die grinder in hand (have yet to add effort into the equation) ...also starting to get horny thinking about the 2-stroke inspired power band (1500rpm idle and cruise at 7000rpm? ) this was the best looking bearing out of the lot

bubblegoose
seeing as i am no longer working as an under paid mechanic i now have some mechanical enthusiasm left at the end of the day so into the garage i go for some long awaited progress after a long wait fianaly got the spacers i needed to take up the 2mm difference (will be welding to the original strut tubes so i dont fuck up the cast iron and my welds crack) slammed it together and tacked it in and test fitted to make sure it still looks pretty looked sweet so on with the hot stuff ^up to wayne martins cert standards??? i damn hope so stripped it all clean and gave it some red zinc then with the compulsory matty b all being well it should be able to take its own weight this weekend YAY!
