CONROD Posted November 29, 2008 Share Posted November 29, 2008 right got me a rover 3.5 in my sprint boat and having trouble with the spark .ive had it running and it runs sweet but when i turn it off and try to start it again the spark becomes intermitant and erratic ,ive replaced the coil and resistor and tryed running the coil direct of the battery to elimante the igintion. I had a sparky mate of mine convert the distrubuter back to points because the old dissy had a broken stator and the illumination module was fucked. CONROD Posted November 30, 2008 Author Share Posted November 30, 2008 distrubtor cap looks sweet as ,any way of checking the coil to see if shes algood other than using a test light,ive checked voltage gettin to the coil though the resistor which is 9 volts this is normal? tryed to start it again started first pop stoped her and she wont go again.checked spark comng out of the coil, fuckall !do you think it could be the condenser? its new but old coil was run without a resistor so it fucked the coil when it got hot Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

CONROD Posted November 30, 2008 Author Share Posted November 30, 2008 thanx for the help allgud now sparky had put wrong points in the dissy and condensor was cooked replaced these parts and sweet as now ,had a mk1 esky with the 3t toyota motor but the dyno tuner fucked it long story had it under full load for nearly 5mins then when it blew he blamed me still goin to court over it,mite repower with a sr20det at some stage got 1 siting in da garge Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
