if your useing stock intakes its the best thing you can do

Yeah wrong was bad choice of word :)

i guess we do have different ways of doing it

you will work with the stock head shape to get a better result ..where as i will drill and machine a entire new port if need be to get what i want

The difference is I don't have anywhere near your fabrication skills!

I have an amazing nack for drilling and cutting things on the piss :lol:

helmholts works best with s straight intake ...i.e if you can see the whole valve though the trumpet your onto a winner (as long as the port shape is good etc etc)

The pinto port is shallow so I think you right that you'd need to downdraft it to get it really working.

as soon as you put a bend in there....its a whole different ball game and as you said ... there is much time and testing in that

Yep and that's what I'm aiming for. That youtube vid was really interesting to see the patterns.

100kw @ the wheels is good numbers for a pinto head

Yep, I'm still trying to find proof of a 200hp NA pinto. So far the most I've found proven is 115kW (150hp) at the treads.....
