Bistro Posted April 16, 2008 Share Posted April 16, 2008 then say the new shock is 4 inchs shorter you cut 2 inchs of top off the strut and rethread in lathe. was confussed but then remembered that its shorted 4" over all, 2" each end if you get what i mean. to clear it up. if you got confussed like me. I was at P&H yesterday sussing out my struts and you can buy those threaded top sections with nuts for $30 each, biggest diameter they do is 45mm but they can do smaller. George stocks wanted $70 each for the same thing. With these you could cut the tops off your struts to shorten them a few inches then find inserts which will be the right length ie AW11 ones etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nobumps Posted April 24, 2008 Author Share Posted April 24, 2008 mean chur na i just poped it back together with slightly smaller bumps, as im driving it down to hams will sort it out later kinda not kean on spending coin on it at mo trying to save as much as i can for the merc.
