hey boe/ettes, monday arvo i blew my diff, i have the standard diff in there, my mate has a mk2 diff i can have to put in it, i know they are the same, but i question to anyone who knows is, the flange between the drive shaft and the diff are they the same? i havent got the diff yet other wise id be able to compare, some one told me they could be different cause there is two different types. make sense?

Mk.1s use the small flange, mark 2's the large. Which can be a pisser, as I'm still not too sure how to change the flanges... collapsible spacers and all that.

Most guys just rattle them off and rattle them on withyout any dramas.

The collapsable spacers can still be bought new but I got all my stock from Burtons in the UK. Not certain who does them locally.

Cant 100% remember but I think the large ones have marks in them where the holes would be if it was a small one... So no trouble drilling them if you have a mean drill bit. Dunno where I heard this nor weather its true... just some random little thought in my head.
