Have you ever seen one of the carbed sierra twin cam motors been put into some other vehicle? i'm looking at http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=104294678 at the moment but am wondering the difficulty and gains that could be made from it. Gaz Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 We put one in a 315 console over xmas holidays at work. Was a cunt to fit as engine bay so small. They have a tad extra power but the consol with the DOHC wasnt as quick as my SOHC 2l escort, weight I guess. Gbox mx75 from memory is suposed to be slightly stronger than the type9. The engine is completely differant to the 2l SOHC. It only makes slightly more power and isnt really worth it for power mods.. I guess, if you wanted to put a standard engine in ya car that was slightly better than the 2l sohc then itd be worth the extra Hp it has.
