low_mk2_escort Posted April 3, 2007 Share Posted April 3, 2007 I have dropped a 2ltr cortina engine into my mk2 escort and all seemed to be going well untill it came to the engine not fireing the starter motor is wired up right but the coil and dissy arnt right can any one help me out as to where the orange wire comming off the dissy goes to and what i need to connect to the coils neg and pos termanials a diagram would help alot or pictures Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ballast resistor needs 12v+ (if it runs one) coil + needs 12v/6v from ballast resist coil - needs to be connected to distributor/points make sure capacitor is attached to points make sure firing order is correct go a photo i can draw over with MSPAINT for you?
