My name is Russell
Finally had a free weekend to put in a full days work on the car, got the paint finished and have buffed half the car. Hannah helping remove the dust (Engine bay is painted the same colour but dust is all over it) Its hard to get a picture of the paint colour due to it being in the shed with bad lighting and my crap camera/skills. This final picture is probably closer to what the colour looks like, changes in different lighting i guess. A big thank you to UncleJake for helping out, all the advice improved the quality ten fold. My name is Russell
Someone PM'ed me how I fitted my radiator but I accidentally deleted the email and im not sure who it was oops, so thought I would just post in project thread. Welded new tabs to the sides of the radiator in order to mount it slightly higher giving easier access to fitting the bottom hose. Electric fan from a 2002 Audi at pick a part Hope this setup works ok will find out soon I guess.

My name is Russell
SHES ALIVE! ... and rowdy (no exhaust) True story, Gaz and I dedicated Sunday to working on the car and got the engine running. Bizzo brought around my springs that where in his mk2 esky the night before which i only semi remember, anyways first job of the day was to chuck them in....back to being lowered. Will need to do a little more work to get some travel in the shocks but for now at least she sits a little lower. Second was to switch the engine mounts sides as one is shorter than the other and we needed more room for the extractors, once this was done the extractors fitted perfectly was stocked about that they look to have been quite well made also. New water pump, leads, Dizzy, sparkplugs and belts. Picking up a new coil tomorrow, and windows are getting installed sometime this week hopefully. Fuel line & filter installed, Gaz dismantled the carb and gave it a look over, manifold fitted. Oh so luckily came across a mk2 escort at pick a part with an auto driveshaft in it which fits perfectly, was stocked about that!, so that’s fitted and ready to go. Still a fair bit to do! Am fully motivated now though so shouldn't be to far away to being drivable.
