My name is Russell
Home Again UJ has the coolest trailer ever I want it Welded on a new tab to the back of the pedal box for the clutch cable to sit against (As she used to be auto). Will have to give it a quick paint. Ended up just making an alternator bracket from scratch Haha and completely random photo of blocks, Why? i dono. What else is new, picked up a sweet temperature gauge from UJ Cheers again . Original door lock installed as I gave up trying to fit the Solex critters and will just have the original one as a dummy once i wire the central locking up to an alarm. Bonnet release installed. Front struts now have shortened Munroe shocks in them that are next to new, thanks to mk2_escort, and new springs which make the car sit a bit more level. Will put the lower ones back in the front later and bigger blocks in the back but for now im done with taking struts in and out. Getting an exhaust system installed on Thursday, can’t really afford it but want to get this thing finished. Using an HSV muffler that UJ was going to throw out so that should make it a little cheaper. Chur Jase you are the man. Two n a quarter inch sounds like the go. Next jobs; Install seats, temp gauge, Speedo cable, Alarm installed with central locking wired into it, New battery, tidy up interior, Wheel alignment/ DIY job poss?, polish paint. Then see if I can sneak her a WOF
My name is Russell
Exaust Fitted for only $230!!! with flange fitted and steel aluminium coated stuff that shouldn't rust used which i cant remember the name off? (I/UJ supplied the Muff which is a HSV S/S thing that sounds awsome) Fitted by; Advanced Vehicle Servicing 04-586 6230 139 Hutt Park Rd Gracefield Lower Hutt He used to work at pitstop at the end of Petone and has just started his own buisness and is an awsome young cunt. Picked up some slicks from UJ (Chur Boe ) that have only been used once/good as new, but have gone hard so going to try and restore them with gladwrap and some liquid stuff that go-cart little people use. Plan to buy Bizzo's widdened steelies of em and put them those. Speedo Cable has been fitted, Which for some reason had to be shavel thinner as the escorts cables face was about 3mm thick and the sierra cables face only .5mm thick. trimmed back a little more space for the gearstick that removed one rattle and might have a go at welding a new shroud around it tomorrow and fitting a gearstick boot. Been doing test driving around the hills now it doesn't set of every house and car alarm i go past and the brakes lock up fairly easily so they work hunk e dory. Next job is to finally get around to fitting the seats.
My name is Russell
Drivers seat 100% mounted to original rails was a bit of a challenge on the brain but got there eventually with this wack e design. My name is Russell
Did a couple more hours today. Couldn't be bothered getting out the welder to weld around the gearstick so riveted a piece of steel on bit rough but oh well. Then stumbeled accross my old carpet in this poor state. So yeah kept the centre section and replaced the side wing bits with new carpet which turned out like so Everything needs a good clean but im not one for that stuff and you get the drift. And found the 'Escort' badge from when i shaved the boot so decided to stick that on the dash By lownslowz, shot with DSC-W80 at 2008-03-27 Fixed the Gbox, got the wheel allignment closer, hard wired in the fan and poper but now the poper is playing up rite pain in the bum might have to have a trip to pick a part. fixed a few other niggling problems to the point where i basiclky just need to mount the pasangers seat and i will see what WOF man says. Oh and made a sweet 'Performance superlites' thing 4 centre of my wheel

My name is Russell
On way home from WOF, Love gazzs mags am so keen on 15's now am going to have to keep an eye out (lowering blocks removed at rear for wof) The new tyres ... Which give 65mm clearance at leafs hence the reason wof man wasn't that keen on them. I prefer the look of the 15s they fill in the flares alot better and dont rub. My name is Russell
Had an iunteresting moment on the motorway ... long story short put the con rod through the block ... So Nick (Mk1Mad) Gaz (Gaz) and I, spent the day on the escort today... When we opened her up the con rod was nowhere to be found she shot out the side of the engine so all i have to show for it is half a piston. By lownslowz, shot with FinePix A600 at 2008-08-17 Managed to put bits n pieces through both sides of the engine block. Head So yeah new engine time, Want it back on the road asap for summer
