d.p.n.s
hi are they quad mikunies? cos if they are and are 35/38or40mm flatsides then you could try any websites like kiwibiker.co.nz and just search for gsxr750 or 1100 tuning cos they are more cominly found on bikes fuking good carbs mate you could even try that site and seach mikuni carbs some one on there might be able to help i use to have these on my bikes .sorry there is one problem with them and thats if they have been re-jetted they have a tendincy to rattle the jets out. good luck

excort
yeah there really cool carbs im in the south island chch im pretty sure my needles are to big as i done them right up and it was still spitting out black smoke ?
Guest head_tech
from memory the needles shouldnt need to be adjusted for a carb engine....there is only 2 adjustments you realy need worry about and if its running you have done one im gussing idle!? the other is the size of the main jet which I just opened up slowly to get the correct A/F ratio....i did have a gas anazyler though which makes life easier....the middle range in these carbs will take care of its self (as long as your not out flowing the carb but i doubt it) thats the beauty of Variable venture carbs. the venture will adust and add the correct amount of fuel according to air volume passing through carb.....in other words it will adust itself in the middle range! much better than a fixed venture card that you ned to jet for all rev ranges and engine loads. YUCK!

Gaz
when you siad you have run these carbs on a blown 2ltr do you mean turbo or supercharged any pics ? As I said before up there.....^^^^^^^^ I have run these carbs on a ford 2L and also on a blown 2L. cant anybody on this site read properly? Do you call a the ford 2l pinto engine the '2l'? People get confused because there are many ford 2l engines. To say a 'ford 2l' could be any of the many... pinto, zetec, duratec, blah blah

excort
if i was to polish the inlet and outlet's of my carbs get all the machine marks out would that improve my flow ? just a thought
Gaz
Prob not worth it
mikuni
Yeah, they would be smooth enough to flow fine at the moment. As I understand it the polish is mainly just to remove any of the rougher casting marks in the head that haven't been machined out from the factory.
