No dramas, i'll get some new shots this weekend, got rebuilt starion struts and brakes going on, brand new shocks, rekitted calipers, skimmed rotors, braided hoses, nolathanes etc, etc.

Then all i'll be waiting on is my new (free) motor to arrive ..

cheers Dan

Yes it will if you put the pump after the surge tank so it sucks from tank thru surge tank.

Tecnically this could work, however the nature of a high pressure fuel injection pump is such that it will die very quickly if you try and 'suck' with it. They really need to have a head of pressure above the level of the pump, and generally speaking surge tanks are fed from the top to prevent backflow and cavitation, thus making it impossible to use the HP pump to both fill the tank and preovide pressure to the rail..
