Guest lotus legend
Well my KE70 corolla as featured in the whole '4 reverse gears' fiasco has recently lost virtually all braking ability. First time they go straight to the floor and dont do an awful lot, after that it doent get alot better. They have been bled and theres plenty of fluid, any ideas? of course when we put the diff in the right way a rubbery thing and a spring were left over frome the back brakes... Defcon
Does it have a Drum assembly on the rear end? If so thats most likey your problem. I would take a stab and say that is the handbrake spring. With out that the shoes may be completely out of adjustment. Hence you push you foot to the floor and the shoe has a long distance to travel before it contacts with the drum. Reinstall it and adjust the shoes till there just about contacting the drum and giv it a try. Def'

drftnmaz
rear cyclinders often leak. just general fault finding, see if its because of the rears or founts/master cyclinder.
