Guest Scheme
got some pretty bad rust around the seals where the hatch of my ke70 wagon lifts up, some of the skinny metal lip that the rubber seals push onto are kinda non existent, I was thinking the best way would to fix it would just be to grind the affected areas off and get the panel beater to weld on a new metal strip where I took them off, thoughts? Guest WESTCORT
you can do short strips with bog, havent tried long strips i wouldnt imagine it would be very strong and up to the task
esky boi
you can do short strips with bog, havent tried long strips i wouldnt imagine it would be very strong and up to the task Yea, tru that. Ive done it in a couple of places But I wouldn't use bog on anymore than about 3cm in length. If its excessive you'll be better off welding it. TygerTung
What you can do, but it is rangi, is just put the seal into place, and silicone around it so that the water can't get passed it. I wouldn't recomend or so it on my car. Yeah, the panel beater is the way to go.
