WildPlumDx Posted June 25, 2005 Share Posted June 25, 2005 Hey guys now thats i got me pulley off the flippin timing cover wont come off! i've undone all the bolts everything! only thing i aint taken out is the oilseal round the pulley cant see that holding it in !? i've wacked the cover with a rubber hammer still nothing! just wont budge! undone the sump bolts too also when i take the timing cover off will i need to replace the sump gasket !? i hope not wont that mean pulling the engine out crap i hate cars sometimes!! isnowi Posted June 25, 2005 Share Posted June 25, 2005 what motor you got? i know on the 4g63 it was necessary to take the sump off, because the oil pump needed to come with it. in turn it was necessary to take th oil pump pickup off tooo. WildPlumDx Posted June 25, 2005 Author Share Posted June 25, 2005 oh true too take the sump off means i gotta take the engine out right !? by the way that 63 u got laying round whats the pulley like !? has it got the powersteer pulley on it too coz my 54's ones cracked reakon it would fit !? its ruffely 145-150mm in diameter cheers!
