They were a very popular engine until eventually surpassed by the CA18DET and then SR20. Very strong engine, perhaps a bit unrefined but good potential aye. kyteler Posted February 20, 2005 Share Posted February 20, 2005 The Z-series engines are basically a crossflow version of the L-series engines, with parts interchangable, the Z18ET engines are good engines, most Nissan engines are long lasting and reliable, not all, but most, always have potential.
