RT Posted January 26, 2005 Share Posted January 26, 2005 Ok, this is a cross section of a Hemi V8 but you can get the idea of what a push rod does. 2DR73XA Posted January 26, 2005 Share Posted January 26, 2005 pushrods = a link between the lobs from the cams direct to the roller rockers, when the lob on the cam comes around it lifts the pushrod up, which transfers the momentum to the roller rocker which then opens the valve into the cylinder......... dude, go have a read of a basic automotive engineering book, that will help heaps.......if you think pushrods are hard to understand...... wait to you get to dizzys and vacuum advanced timing.....!!!
