Guest kornstar Posted November 16, 2004 Share Posted November 16, 2004 i have the chance to grab a 5 speed gear box for the kingy, does any one no whether a VK gearbox would fit in the HQ sedan?? it was last in a one tonner. i know it will bolt stright up to the engine but will it fit allright where the box sits and will i have to change the drive shaft? davidian Posted November 17, 2004 Share Posted November 17, 2004 nah ,im shure there was another dude with a kingy.. but like the man said.. measure the lenght of the box and compare them both, then have a look at the mounts on the gearbox and the mount holes and compare. also have a look at both rear ends of the boxes to see if the spleens match. if you cant use the same d/shaft, its always easy enough to get a auto one and a manual one and make a hybrid..
