What colour was the tape? The green stuff is designed not to be too sticky so it doesnt tear fresh paint or leave residue Whitish colour. Its ok tape but I dont think its that cheap for what it is, theres better stuff out there for same price or cheaper.

Bought the 3M masking tape and it seems real thin and not very sticky compared to other ones Ive tried so I wont be buying it again. Got a 4L tin of 3M hammer-finish spray paint for $60 and its actually good stuff though I still reckon you get what you pay for, if you buy cheap stuff dont moan if its not the best quality.

I got a 4G63 Sigma but unsure bout the DASH part. Spose there would be a sticker on the motor to say its a DASH engine?

Half-price new paint is a sweet deal alrite. Sorry cant help with all your questions but I was also wondering how many litres do you need to paint a med-large car (I know roughly how many spray cans it takes lol).

Having the same issue with the EX I bought. It was factory 1200 4g11 but previous owner had fitted 1600 4g32 and not fitted a 4g32 crossmember so engine mount on passenger side doesnt line up. Im still waiting for someone on here to hook me up with a 4g32 crossmember.

You could try my old workplace(not sure if Im allowed to name them) but theyre at 650 Halswell Junction road,but not for much longer as theyre shifting site soon. They do sandblasting & powdercoating for reasonable price,though having said that we employees never had to pay for that kind of work,they were good like that.
