  1. Actually i may have one. Dunno if it works but came out of a running car, been sitting in a garage for 3 years now. Im guessing the 8v kjet ones are the same as the 16v M M? Found it in my stash of "crap"
  2. God those wagons look good. Missing my old coupe.... toyota 4ks bolt straight in from memory?
  3. Hahah Cheers man! Its hard to get motivation sometimes. On howden road just off Heaphy terrace. Its a quiet but busy wee neighbour hood.
  4. Built a set of out side stools. Scored a lump of wood from my friend Lucas. Since he works in the wood touching industry i hit him up to plane them and round them to similar sizes. They came out mint! (photos will be added) Oiled them and cleared them but since being in the rain they have expanded and cracked. No biggy Since they cost a box of piss and $80 bucks worth of steel. I made 6 all up cause i have only 3 friends and they have girlfriends/wives/money spenders. Got a massive reel from the dump for $40 bucks, and old outdoor heater ( which I've never used) from my mother in law (who went guarantor for us getting the house!! What a good bitch eh!) Aaaaaaannnnnndddddd its sat in the rain since I assembled it, (insert blurry ass photo hair)
  5. My final post until i find some more pics on my 6 phones I've had in two years. They just don't make them like they used to. On that note i bought something they certainly don't make like they used to...... Warning: Photo taken with potato while drunk Working and usable with the newer autofill/autostopfillingsoitdoesntfloodmybathroom valves. Its cast so is heavier than Adelles lyrics on all her songs. Its got minor surface rust inside but nothing a quick buff couldn't sort out. Gave it a paint with some galv it rust protecting shit since it'll sit in my shed for months until cash comes up for bathroom renos. (coming soon) it'll be wall hung for that old feel. Which will suit the house to a T. Not bad buy for $32 bucks. Even came with a fancy pull chain and cast ring moulded for perfect comfort for two finger operation.
  6. A few months go by and I finally get pissed off enough with my kitchen. Mainly the cupboards. Pictures describe my problems with them. So out they came. Before: My sweet oven After: My sweeter oven As we removed them, we were forced into either keeping the louvred window or blocking it. Now since I'm lazy as fleck but enjoy a challenge (conflicting, right?) i decided to have a go at framing a window. I hate working with wood. You can just 'build it up with the welder' if you cut it short or on the piss. But it came out mint. Straight enough for me. Replaced a few of the tongue and groove boards too since Mr Bora Beetle made refuge in them.
  7. More on "rusting my wall" later. For now ill just show one of two side tables i made while money was short and used up the rest of the material from the hallway cupboard. They weigh a ton and have Strayan red wood (i think) tops. Ive oiled them since the pics so are much darker nowadays. Used for seats when people hit the piss at mine too.
  8. Since we got rid of our only storage other than in our kitchen, I decided to make my first set of cupboards. Got some steel through work, Cut up an old bench seat that we got with the house. A little bit of magical dust and voila. Test fitting: (as if it wouldn't hahah) And final Think it cost me like 120 bucks all up? Cheapskate or costsaver? Heres it in action while we prepped out wall for "rusting". Literally.
  9. Now from the first photos of the interior its red/pink. This paper was all over the bedrooms, hall and lounge. But we hated it so we stripped it and went white as i said earlier. The hallway and its reconditioned/stripped rimu fuse board surround with custom steel door I think the white is noticeably brighter. Woudlnt you agree?
  10. Pics of the decision we are still making in the 2nd bedroom. To strip and stain or repaint. Repainting is much faster, easier and cleaner but won't match the other bedroom, lounge and hallway.
  11. Got to work. Stripped the walls. Re lined them with the help of my one-day-soon-i-hope father in law. By help i really mean he did all the hanging hahah And painted it all white. Kind of going for the neutral chromatic colourless theme. Im simple so simple suits me.
  12. Now one of the first things we did was get rid of some big ass closets to give some more room and flexibility in the two bedrooms.
  13. Bought a house in Fairfield, Hamilton. Not the rough side. LOL I live by grannies and young families. Any way picked it up for a steal and it was almost perfect for what we wanted in a first home. Only pic i have of the back of the house. Try not to get distracted by the sexy as f cars.
  14. They aren't very common here specially in 400cc. Seem to be popular in the states and japan. Hahaha 130kph max with the missus on the back. Never really went far on it cause i got it in winter plus had other pressing matters to attend to. Ended up getting $800 more than what i spent on it. Damn stoked. Ive got a gn250 in the shed which will be a motocross/road bike cross over. One day.
  15. New bolstered seat. Current height, 3 days of ground clearance. But is warranted. Ready to sell And it runs mint. absolutely mint. I think i may have worked out the kinks! Not bad for some one who followed a very vague internet build guide. By vague i mean didn't even have the jet sizes or carb model info. You can spot the rear end of my new diesel too.....
  16. Ive seemed to found a sweet spot in the advancement of the dizzy, Revs a bit high on idle ,around 1400rpm, but feels like max power is achieved!! Cruises nicely too. Few things left to touch up, Headliner and boot liner then I think shell be ready for sale sadly. On a better note, Ive bought a diesel mk2 too!
  17. Now since my car doesnt have vaccum advance standard , Ive had to advance the dizzy nearly all the way forward to acheive driveabilty. But i have been bothered by the fact it revs so damn high. Research shows a Saab 900 dizzy works with my set up (good luck finding one of those). Ill keep researching and looking around but for now Ill get it woffed.
  18. I did manage to sort some of the vacuum issues out, since 2 springs were missing in the throttle linkages it was sitting a bit open, enough to suck heaps more than the other two carbs. Test drive was exhilarating. Now Greg, that means exciting.
  19. Ive seen this before and have wondered where to get one from, If i can't borrow a multicarb tuner ill most likely buy one of those! Cheers man!
  20. Your valiants are gay. So gay they were caught cuddling Adam Lambert at night. Thanks! What the hell is a foamer? Im on my way to sort out a home made AFM, can build one from parts at Jaycar and an 02 sensor.
  21. Bleed the brakes today and the fluid was disgusting. Original suspension back in too. Adjusted the fuel pressure to 2 psi down from 4 psi. Put some springs where they were missing. Warmed it up and gave it a thrash and my god did it pull well. Will now go ahead and make a air fuel ratio reader so i can perfectly tune it. Off to Jaycar i gooooooo.
  22. Long story short. Bought some $10 indicators of tardme. And a 2 dollar taillight from the dump. A few cans of matt black, whipped up some new exhausts too and some baffles, Next minnit. LOL almost forgot. Made the sweetest custom seat. But I can't take all the credit. The final shape was done by Greg at Midnight Upholstery, and the final stretching of the vinyl. So basically most of it. I take credit for all the stuff ups and slight off centre pattern hahah. Got some close ups of the indicators and brake light after all. Not of the side mount much though. And now its for sale. . Sadly it needs to go so I can pay some debts off. My next build will be a but slower but more manoeuvrable .
  23. Got some flat bars, made some risers out of ali. Haven't got any close up photos of them. Got to work on a fender. Made a leather sandbag, nylon hammer and smashed some 1.6mm ali sheet.
  24. Picked this sweet thang up for a chill $2000. Well my girly bought it for me for my birthday by surprise. What a G B. Deregistered but in pretty good nick. Got to work getting it revinned Needed a few minor things like the indicators flashed too fast, headlight only had high, tyre was almost through to the wire. Few messy wires that I had to tidy up but otherwise she was all good. $1400 later, (I know right!) It was back on the road ready to bobber.
