  1. Yep they are all flashing. Just got a new indicator relay, the hazards flash normally too. Ive even swapped the hazard switch for my working one from my cabby to make sure its not faulty. Ahhhhh I did wiggle them but i didnt remove them! Ill do that tomorrow! And smash some CRC on it too. A few of the plugs on the back of the relays had a bit of rust so am guessing some water has found its way into the fuse box. Bare in mind it sat out side for approx two weeks with no glass in it.... Drove it to the base and Pak n Save today and it started, tooted, indicatored and had no issues. Give it time. Something will come up
  2. Swapped my v r for one out of a spare alt I had. It charges now got a horn and indicators too. But then indicators flash to fast which I think means it's earth from the fuse box is dirty or faulty. But then again i don't know much lol
  3. I've got the alternator volt reg off, it's made in Australia which is most likely the issue lol Next thing is can I bench test the v r
  4. Charged battery Alternator isn't charging Horn still not working and neither are indicstors Indicstors have a new relay No fuses are blown no melted wires anywhere Earthing points have Been sanded back to steel and all battery connections buffed up. That's about as far as my knowledge goes with electrical shit. Fuck knows what's going on
  5. Same here, previous owner seemed to have rewired the fuel relay to run off a horn relay....
  6. Oh hahah it's just an 82 golf gti . Has only one fuse box/relay panel. Ceramic fuses are all good none are blow . I am charging the battery today and will see if it's got juice later today. It's still under warranty I think too.
  7. Mk2 golfs been running angled rads for years m8888
  8. I will charge the battery and then test the alternator and see where the issue lies tomorrow after work. Im not sure if the welding did any damage, other than make my dash LCD clock work again....
  9. Hmmm Thats what i was hoping i haven't done. Pull it apart and get a new rectifier?
  10. I just cleaned up the earths to the battery, gearbox and body. Has a flat battery so will need to jump start and see.
  11. Welded my exhaust together connected to the car while the battery was still connected. Nooooooob moment I had. Now a little while since then Ive noticed my indicators don't work, horn doesn't toot and the battery doesn't charge. The battery light is on in the dash. Should i go over the car and re do the earths to the battery? No fuses are blown though.
  12. After much fluffing about i discovered a multitude of things wrong with the car. Every wheel was hand tight. Keep in mind i towed it from Ohaupo to Hamilton Struts were loose. Hence the clunking noise Front indicators now work because i put the relay where it shouldve been. I have high beam on the left light but not the right and have no wiring for the "gti double light" grill. Was told to hook them up as just fogs or high beam. Sorted a few nitty gritty bits here and there, eg window wiper motor is replaced. NUmber plate mounts are being soaked at the moment in cocacola. Cbf doing seats so i think greg should do them and ill buy him a pie.
  13. Drove it home, smoked baaaaaad cause i over filled the oil again. Ive done that waaaay to much in my years lol. Drained the oil and its mint now. Barely idles but suspected to be the massive vaccum leak. Will sort it out once it gets back from the WOF man. Cant seem to find any wiring for indicators though which is making me panic hahah. Started first pop this morning! Im not used to this luxury hahah
