    You've seen the bike engined Leaf?

    How about a generator hooked straight to the charging port? A man of your ability/ingenuity should be able to pull it off...

    So obviously you can still service your vehicle, but it appears to be set up in a very 21C app-centric way. You log into the app and someone will come to your house/work and rotate your tires/change your wiper blades.

    Something Tesla is probably running into as well is that there is zero scheduled servicing. ie no one can have looked at it for 7 years and 364 days and they'll replace the drivetrain under warranty, so those loose bolts that should be caught at 1,000, 10,000 or 20,000 km ,with any other manufacturer are missed until WOF time.

    I once had to feedback to an audience at an education symposium (as everyone else in my group went mute) at University of Canterbury.

    A woman attending yelled at me (in front of 500+ other attendees, "why don't you let the women speak?!". Was a really impressive heckle that has given me the excuse to avoid mansplanations ever since.

    Had a guy pull in beside me last weekend down the right hand side. his flap was on the right of his car. lead wouldn't reach.

    So he backed out and backed back in to put the flap on the other side (but at the rear of the park) and lead worked even less.

    This leads to charging being less than relaxing. People constantly tapping on the window "how much longer will you be, i'm trying to get to XXX" 

    Maybe its just because i use chargenet?

    I guess because for you it's a work vehicle that's probably quite different to a typical owners experience? In theory the new govt are chucking a bunch of chargers in too instead of subsidising the clean car rebate.

    I hadn't thought about that company car issue, probably something that people would want to negotiate with their employers if possible? A huge part of the EV benefit is refuelling at home.

    I am quite interested in the 48v electrical system though, it seems a much more efficient way of running leccy things in a car and although I'm well aware of manufacturers trying 48v in prototype or concept stuff prior, I don't think anyone's actually brought it to production.

    It's made the other very interesting technical development in the Cybertruck, steer by wire, entirely possible... this could be a pioneering vehicle of sorts, despite the polarizing nature of it.

    I don't love it and I don't hate it, but I do like that it's trying something new/being a disruptor of sorts.

    I'm the same, I'm never going to own one. But so much of the innovation makes sense, if they can produce more than 12 a day they'll be onto a winner...

    A scaled down wagon version (just the Model 3 SR is plenty of performance for most). But with a more rectilinear form, think wideboi Cressida wagon crossed with BYD Han concept. Oooo yeah...

    Rebate on second hand cars seems to have dropped prices over the last year, more competition I guess? Not someone who shops for new cars so don't pay much attention to that end of the market to know pricing.

    It definitely has, and canning the rebate has been even better as I guess production was upped/ they don't want to have to ship our allocation somewhere else. I'd assume you can't keep the makers on the hop by introducing, then canning it every 12 months...?
