  1. Just buy what you personally prefer then try them out. Usually any 4x108 rim, 13-15x7 with an offset close to zero will be fine. We can only say so much till you actually purchase a good set of wheels and try them out.

  4. Wow so back for the weekend, thought id get into it! So finished the bellhousing conversion from the courier box to the Mx5 box! Now to sort the clutch combo. Im thinking an FE SOHC clutch or an F2T clutch? Opinions? And one of the things im really loving at the moment! My modified KIA sportage cam cover to look like a BDA/BDG cam cover, will wrinkle it up tomorrow. Very happy with it! Big thanks to KK for the nats shirt, looks the biz! Discuss it up!

  7. So its time to bolt up the transmission to the fe3 and i cant get the damn torque converter off! I bought it without the fwd trans so cannot slide it off Ive tried prying it off to no avail Yes the bolts holding it to the flex plate have been removed. Any help on how to get it off would be great!

    What exactly are you wanting to do with either the compression strut or anti dive kit? The anti dive kit only stops nose diving under heavy braking? I would just get good shocks and a 24mm kmac or whiteline bar with the adjustable tca's,thats pretty much going to be my set up.

Ive been doing some research lately on ITB's since i got my silvertop 4age ones for the fe3 and thought of making a topic on ITB's where everyone can contribute knowledge of best set ups, manifolds, tuning and the likes.   20. So back for the week so thought id crack into it! Been playing around with the fe3 and mocked up this..... Looks soooo good! its definitely getting my motivation back up and giving me something to look forward to for when im back home. These beauties of 70's racing pedigree arrived And i managed to get some original mint bathurst globes 14x6 for a small sum! So things are looking ahead for the escort yet. Order of priority now will be the front end so a large order will be going out to the UK in due course.   23. Wow long time no update oldschool! Ive been back from initial officer training for about a week now and ive cracked on a fair bit and spent a few dollars on the escort! 1) Capri struts fully welded to coilovers by KE70_wagon aka mitch 2)FE3! Very happy with the new FE3 ive got. Its a high comression variant so 10:1 cr. Gearbox is sussed with the mx5 one ive got and a 2.0l petrol courier bellhousing. Plans for it will include itb's or dual carbs, porting and balancing. 3) In my spare time today i made a hybrid CAS from an mx5 and FE3 CAS 4)Also bought some AP 4pot calipers from an Austin princess with new stainless steel pistons and seal kits, should be here soon enough! So I head back to Waiouru for the rest of the year with about a week off every 2 months but should be worth it when I get my comission to 2nd Lieutenant and 57k. Goals for the year will just be parts hoarding and trying to crack on with the escort! Cheers guys, expect another update in 2months
