Ive heard its been done before but just wondering if anyone knows first hand? cheers.
  3. Hey guys I though I'd throw this up, don't really know why I bought this to be honest.. I saw it on trade dizzle, for a good price so snappped on it, Trans is stuffed so took that out over the easter weekend and brought a rebuild kit. Its my first time at doing this, so will see how it goes, looks reasonably straight forward. had leaking wheel cylinders so they have been resleeved and new brake shoes all round, drum brakes represent Yeahha. Also had the master cylinder re sleeved. It has mk 3 running gear, motor box diff etc. It actully hustles for what it is, running headers, webber and street cam. sounds mean. anyway pic-churs..
  4. Dude that is so Rad, good price to. Awesome!
  5. yeah its got a reg/wof, im fixing a couple little rust spots atm and respraying the doors. once its done I would be keen to take it on a meet or something.
  6. Hows it guys, Finally im going to show the build up of a Valiant im doing, Ive had this car for around a year and a halfish, maybe more. Ill start with pictures of how I bought it: As you can see it was below average, but all I was concerened about was the nasty cancer, which it had next to none of, I brought the car from central otago which is always a plus as its so dry and warm down there. Drove it home sweet as, reliable as anything. Started stripping the engine bay as I purchased a 318 and 727 trans. Sanded it back and primed it: Started painting it: Started fitting k member etc etc: Then started painting the v8, its had only just been rebuilt so that was sweet: Then put it in Bought some goodies : Headers and edlebrock mannie and 650cfm vacum secondaires carbieeeee, Yet to be fitted... Put on a bonnet that we had previously done: Undersealed the interior: Also had my seats re - done, Bench all the way: Started on the door sills and bootlid area, painted: Thats all for now. Sorry for the next to no description. Writing bores me.
  7. Sweet pics bro, Wish mine had fenders haha!
  8. At this stage im just going to keep it completely factory as parts are are near imposible to get. It has a couple tiny bits of rust apart from that its pretty much mint. Ill get some more pics up shortly.
  9. Hey guys, Im based in Christchurch, New Zealand, I have recently purchased a 1962 Mazda carol 360 and I was on google trying to find some info on it and stumbled across this forum, so I thought I'd post some pictures of mine. Some info first of all. It was the first and oldest mazda imported into New Zealand, it has done 52,000 kms. It was owned by an old man in Dunedin who started the first mazda dealership in the South Island called Anngow Mazda, he recently sold the buisness and his possesions due to poor health. I bought it not running and it hasn't been running since 2003 when it was last regestered. I got it transported up to my place. As soon as I got it I did all the checks firstly fluids etc etc then put a new battery in it and some fresh fuel and thought I'd give her a whirl. I couldn't belive it without using the choke it started first pop and idled perfectly. Any way enough of my blurb ill put some pictures up. Cheers!
