  1. Hachi-ichi, yea Im looking for one now! and I lied.. I didn't have time to lower it! I will do it tonight. lol I realized, My car height becomes unbalanced when carrying 4 people. I didn't think of that. lol whahahaha
  2. AAAAnd down it goes.. hahaha.. One last clip before I raise it again for work and uni... I really don't know where my patience comes from.. This reminds me, it's got a lot of travel haha I need to wind down the shock body next time i lower it..... Ever since I replaced the set, I haven't adjusted them to the right setup. http://vid1091.photobucket.com/albums/i395/PowderJZX/WP_20150514_010_zpsrkezzubm.mp4 Should I even bother putting spacers on? RIP Height see you over the weekend. Not even close to this
  3. This is what it currently looks now. has 5mm slip-on spacer in the back. It wont go any lower with 16s (T^T) I should get my 15s widened now? .... and now I will have to use it for work again. Hospitals have the worst roads and parking.. haha and Btw I'm not a doctor or a nurse.. I work for DHW to help redesign the hospital. Anyway, This is the current state of my car. Excuse my rusty photography skills.. haha
  4. The impul was offered to me + cash for the G7s, This is the only part I regret. Would've been nice to have both but there was either a trade or nothing. haha. The specs offset on the impul were perfect. They poke out as well as they fit right. I'm in the hunt for 16" impul aero covers if any of you has them let me know. I have a love hate relationship with the height of this car! Yet I find time to adjust them every weekend! haha I want it low but because I drive to work and uni everyday its a little bit painful! Did a little photoshoot.
  5. It's been a wee whilesince I posted, I had a panasport G7 arrived and restored but It didn't fit my car. A few other things that arrived.. I didn't want to destroy the guards so I swapped it to something + cash my way. I would've wanted to G7's to fit but I'd rather keep the guards in factoryish condition. Factory front lip arrived, The marble steering wheel arrived, got new tires, new suspension setup for the BCs but the teins have yet to arrive. I also got the GX union stickers from Japan. Anyway here is the before Photos of the car. The day I towed it to the garage with a 1.8l engine. Here's a photo with the factory Front Lip and the Facelift headlight. Had to replace them due to broken mounts etc. The front has been crashed by the first owner I think, not the previous one. The G7s were so sweet though! wish I kept them and bought the Impuls too. haha
  6. hmm i think 118 is fine, haha the only difference with 205 45 is 1km -.- still a big thing tho
  7. maybe a tiny bit of roll? haha If i run 195 45 might be too smal, if i run 205 45 might be too wide, But i can only choose between the two.
  8. Hey guys, My tires will arrive on monday but they ordered 2 different types to see which ones I like better. I am deciding if I should get 195 45 16 or 205 45 16 Falken 912s but the only thing is, I don't get much reviews on a 205 45. I've heard the falken's moulding gives the tires a bit more stretch compared to the rest of the tires etc. Is it true? Like I've read the reviews on the 512s. Apparently, the 205 of 512s has better stretch than most 195s but the 912s...well I haven't heard of them yet. Also this is one my case: On a 195 50, I have to run 114km/h to get to 100km/h.. and If i ran a 195 45 ? haha I guess this will solve any speeding ticket.. lol Should I just run a 195 45 anyway? ..Personally I don't like any stretch at all but even the 205s 45 that I had had a little bit of stretch.. The rears are my only problem. The front fits fine I mean If i am going to flare them in the end, maybe the 205 45 could fit?, and maybe because it's just more comfortable.. What are your thoughts? This is how my rims sit on my car now! My car just above the cert height My car Just under Cert height <-- but It will be a lot lower.. I am considering both heights just in case so I will have to flare.. haha The flare I am thinking of is similar to Micheal Macnaughtan's or Nigel's gx71 which is cutting the inner lip and just really beating the crap out of it and if it still doesn't work, metal guards. What nigel did to his was cut slits, hammer out, fibreglass, bog and paint. it did looked tidy in the end. My wheels: 16x8 -15 Michael's guards with 15x9-29 I think?: Nigel's: Tatsuaki's weld on metal guards: My friend Tomohisa sent me: Internet guards: What 205 45 16" Looks like on a 16x8 (rear) I have a 195 45 16 with an ok stretch. this is my inspiration car: 195 45 16 on 16x9 for the fronts. Any thoughts? Tom
  9. Haha the other thing is just a marble steering wheel for dress ups! but I haven't installed any of them yet.. Thanks, That will come in handy eventually...
  10. Another week, Another package.. headlights arrived today and a few other bits.. will sort them out in 2 weeks time.. getting serious lol
  11. My side skirts arrived this friday. Tried fitting it without bolting it in... just a tape.. although it did have bolt holes already
  12. One of the many parts I bought from Japan arrived today. Just a weather shield . It just means the parts will start arriving soon. I think the side skirts, steering wheel and the rest of my bits might arrive next week or the week after. Exciting!!
  13. Hey guys, It's been a while since I posted here. I haven't done much to my car but I did a lot of shopping in yahoo auctions Japan lately...So far I've added a front lip, repainted the quarter panel, Tidied the interior heaps and replaced the crappy stereo to a carrozzeria DVD player. (thanks kylee and alex for the parts car haha) I will put 15" on my car but I also ordered some 16s to keep it "legal" so to speak. I have replaced the exhaust tips to twin stainless 2.5" and moved the muffler another 30mm towards the engine.. Somehow it made it quiet and more refined.. This year has been slow for my car I guess.. But so much work to be done once the parts arrive. I've ordered a set of panasport G7 c5c 3 piece wheels which ended up being 350 bucks + shipping.. The auction said 16x8 +15 16X8 +0 it may not seem right but the back of the wheels had massive wheel spacer design thing.. I did bid on another set of wheels.... SSR mesh wheels 15x8-14 but i lost tp that auction due to me forgetting to tell the importer to bid on it, so recently.... I did a buy now and bought a set of 15x7 with +3 +4 offset SSR mesh, It was rather cheap so I reckon i'll just get them widened.. The g7s will come with no tires so the first thing I'm gonna do, when they arrive, is to get them re-polished and painted .. maybe gold or something.. then see how much stretch I will need for the wheels.. Surprisingly the TV, DVD, bluetooth works after 3 hours of trying to wire it.. Here are 2 different importers I used.. I could only screen shot these just to get the idea... each pic do have a 2nd page.. apart from the wheels, I have a marble steering wheel on the way and a set of headlights... weather shield, factory front lip( <--- finally ) and Lots of unnecessary items.. Last but not the least, I got these from Greer. It says cresta here but I really don't mind the name at all. Although, I am still surfing yahoo auctions Japan for a genuine chaser half covers so until then, these would do.
  14. There's a half cut jza70 manual in toyotaz galore in north shore bro, might be worth checking it out. not sure if the r154 has the same shifter position
  15. http://instagram.com/p/ks8LT3GKd3/ <-- a photo of my car via instagram. I'll send the photo to myself and see if I can upload a better pic
  16. whaha fair enough.. but what other option is there unless you do z181200's suggestion? hhaha
  17. if your car is the same or lower than this! still looks fine.. haha maybe dont use a wider set so it doesn't look to mexican
  18. After being depressed for a day yesterday, its finally starting to come together, I found the leak that we thought was the waterpump caused by a longer bolt going through it haha Thanks to dave I got that hole sorted.. JB welded that shit! hahaha I must say, dave should be a certified JB welder ... dry.. anywho this was the outcome. Will it hold? I've heard great things about JB weld! but I hope it lasts forever haha Got new timing belt covers too! and while the engine front was apart, I water blasted the whole engine hahaha It looks brand new now ow... Pics to come later on today when I get to my car. My car should start later this arvo but no date tonight if i can't finish it by then! :'(
  19. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/42406-in-desperate-need-of-1gge-timing-belt-cover-top-and-bottom-auck/ If anyone is parting out a 1gge i''ll need to a cambelt cover please asap! 0210397914 Update: Got this sorted but it wasn't cheap.. T.T older version somehow does not fit
  20. Them stickers need to come off! loving the progress man! hmmm those black wheels do look good but i reckon something light in colour. silver with polished dish or even wheels with white/gold centres and polished dish would look good on this car? someone with a cleaner look. black wheels are starting to become too common, not that they make it look bad.. just my personal opinion each to their own haha or maybe just that particular type of wheels? then again, it might look different in real life! pics dont really do justice most of the time haha
  21. Screw that haha that's almost like the price of the car haha!
  22. maybe take it to precision wheels for cert? haha
