  1. last update by me, I finished my part of this off tonight. Added some Escort wagon rear shocks and some reworked Escort mounts/base plates. I'm fairly happy with the way it turned out. i500gt dropped off some lowered leaf springs which I fitted at the same time. Front is all up In the air, Karl can sort that out later.
  2. S3 RX7 rear rotors with AE101 rear calipers can clear 13 inch wheels. I started doing my Anglia before I got sidetracked.
  3. Wow I'm glad I went and got it now.
  4. SOHC: The flat head 4 turns over, it's a long way off being a runner. I hadn't intended to make it a full resto, just make it move under it's own power, put the body work back on and sort out a hydraulic system so I can grade my drive and do the weeding etc with it. I will keep the flat head 4 in the corner of my garage, may be I'll restore it when I retire or something. I don't know. Thanks for the heads up about the V8. I'll hold off though thanks. I well blew the budget buying this. Felixx, Thanks I would be interested in seeing that. Is your carb an updraught? That's what this had. Is it a 1 bbl? * It's about 1.9L displacement I think.
  5. That'd be a very small steam engine!
  6. I reached a milestone with this tonight. Rust repairs finished! //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/25894-i5oogts-mk2-cortina-wagon/?hl=i5oogt
  7. Like I said before part of the deal with this was an original flat head motor. We went and picked it up today from the Oliver header it was fitted to. It was a bit of a mission, part of a shelter belt had fallen over on the machine. Sadly someone has stolen the magneto and carb off it. And a few other bits of treasure.
  8. Yeah I think I'm picking up what you're putting down. I need a Ford engine with more power. Like this Pinto powered one?
  9. Yeah no problems, though I think Z181200 has dibs? It's far from nice inside mind you.
  10. It took 3 pages but we got there in the end. Clint, It needs airbrushing/tag writing "Pigdozer" Or some such.
  11. Yep, that's the conclusion I made too. At low RPM it should be about perfect. I hope.
  12. Hahaha. If I can make it move under it's own power I think I'll be onto a winner. Takes 383 out of AP5......
  13. A few Oliver specs here. http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/001/7/9/1798-cletrac-hg-dimensions.html
  14. Fuuuuuu. Needs more going! Thanks Cam, I had kind of done the maths and come to this conclusion too. Although this thing is tiny and the A15 was free. If it sucks I can start over. I'm not going to be using it in a heavy mining situation. maybe grade my drive every weekend and punt about.
  15. Hot cam, thanks but no thanks. Cheers for tracking the other %55 down.
  16. Upside down tin can to keep rain out.
  17. Awesome Bart. Thanks. This came into my possession yesterday. A mighty A 15 from a vanette. A quick look/measure and I think it will fit nicely between the chassis rails.
  18. I think a 4 cyl Detroit is bigger than my whole dozer. Try an International HD5. Edit: Fuck I do like Graders!
  19. Yeah the tracks are free, we towed it onto a trailer with a Foden truck when I picked it up. And rolled it down the ramps at home. On a flat surface I can push it my self. Yep fit a motor and box and feed it to the diff assembly. The diff has a transmission with 3 forward 1 reverse. I don't think orignally they had a gearbox behind the motor just a clutch housing and short drive shaft to the transaxle. CaMpylobacter, Cool idea. Part of the deal with this was an original Oliver motor. It's in a Header at the moment, I'm going to get it next weekend. I'll take a camera the place it's in is quite something.
  20. A micro Killdozer for my suburb! Are you Suggesting I entomb myself in steel and concrete and kill myself Danger?
  21. Those do look cool. This is more along the lines I was thinking. [/url]
  22. Cheers mate. It has a diff and brakes brakes. This isn't my one mind you. Apparently they don't completely stop the side being braked so they can't spin on the spot.
