Can get turbo and supercharger kits from Japan if you want more punch, but the fun is in the corners.

Tuning bits are plentiful in Japan but you need to be real quick if you want to snag any good parts in NZ.

Mine is currently stock with only a monstersport rear muffler and a K&N panel filter, but is soon getting a rear swaybar and throttle controller.

I did Monster sport springs that i imported from japan and an ultra racing swaybar and that made a massive difference coupled with some good tyres, the monster sport springs are progressive and ride much nicer than the stock springs do.

  2. Hi all would someone be able to pick up a set of brake calipers and rotors hold for me?

persons in welcome bay, would transfer you the $$ as its FB marketplace and i dont really want to transfer to him direct for obvious reasons. Have a friend that can come get them just not for 2-3 weeks.

  3. Try talking to your local scrap yards and wreckers.

pick a part here let one station cut a few up. My last station the council would call us if they had abandoned ones and my current station the panelbeaters give us some stuff to cut, up like we got a whole quarter while not fantastic practice for ramming good for cutting and spreading practice.

  4. Great read , picked up an auto one month so ago myself has the recaros and hid lights. Much much maintenance needed every fluid changed, valve cover gasket, developed a missfire so i did plugs and coils and did a stereo with amped speakers. Has about 4 million stone chips and 230k on the clock but after a full cut and polish the very dull paint came back, the engine is spotless inside and gets 13.7L per k. Found gaskets and air filter ect were cheaper genuine than generic from repco ect

with the 2 backlash nots loosened, the drive gear on the lead screw is quite loose,,but may some sort 'clutch' engagemeny to shaft ?

Fitted a soft shear pin in the drive gear to the lead screw shaft now works , A small rivet stem seems to work well thus far waiting on my china tooling to arrive.

awesome, so that's what a tidy one looks like

@ajg193 now remember, when you end up with mine for a repair,  i do NOT expect it to come back looking like this.

quick question , Mine isnt driving the leadscrew the gears are turning but the shaft isnt, it isnt keyed or anything for the gear is there supposed to be a shear pin as there is a hole on both sides that looks like it would suit one potentially.

  8. Barrydom unlocked , Granville lathe about the same size as a ml7 obviously whoever had it before the guy I got it off used it for lots of stuff , came with

3 jaw, 4 jaw , faceplate , dead and live centres, turning dogs, 3 jacobs chucks , milling attachment , end mills , selection of fixed , adjustable and tapered reamers, small boring and threading tools, a toolpost grinder (sadly motorless) , change gears , taper adapters , shop made die holder, twist and centre drills.

the only thing its missing is a fixed steady that i need for a job i want to do but im pretty sure one of the smaller generic ones will fit.
