mission think my car is back to life and ready for a major road trip

get another radiator today boss been a cunt wont let me take the day off so its going to be mega last min fix and test not impressed

passed wof thanks jim but got major issues to fix now will post a update in a min broke down 3 times on a road trip i did ova the weekend my backup was my esky but needed cash so sold it now the back up could be the sillyka but trying as hard as i can to use my own car

no i just had the same issue the 3 cars you said are the only ones that fit all the others have different holes to bolt to chassis or different steering setup

sadly new tyres are not in the budget when the ones that are on there are brandnew

want advice on what wheels to run i plan on getting new ones at a later stage but for now should i run the celica/supra 15" or the superlights 13" place your votes NOTE: the lowness of the car may differ from photos

Went in to town at lunch time to get some parts to work on during a slow work day and my partners bro was having a slow day and had mounted up the fuel filler on the fuel tank taken it to finish getting welded and leak tested it just have to plumb the fuel line up and got a full running car and my custom modded seatbelts appear to fit another plus so new plan for tonite sort out front end lowering little bit of under sealing adjust doors put all front end back on put some of the inside trim in and seat belts do some more wires don't think that will all get done tonite but gonna give it a good crack if i make it tonite might try a wof check tommorrow one can be hopfull

STRESS!!! appears to be no time left going to be cutting it bloody fine if i make it once the stress is gone and i have time to look throught photos i will do a photo dump in here so last nite reached a major point started engine with the key put it in gear and drove it for bout 2 mins till the carb ran out of fuel as i havn't got a fuel tank yet today at work well the boss not looking ive been building the front bumper and modding the seatbelts to try custom fit them nothing dodgy here and painting a few more bits of trim, after work im hopin to rip into lowerin the front and finishing plumbing up tank then gotta take it to finish getting welded hoping he can hav it done by tommorrow nite so far brakes and hand brake seem to work ok its going to be a long nite trying to get as much done as poss once the front is lowered all the guards and bumper etc will go bak on and bolt most of the trim in then just look at minor wof issues, wof by the weekend would be good for a road test

so if i don't get done im gonna blame the lack of alex's abuse yelling got a delema on my hands now had a guy make a cash offer to buy my car ive got for a back up but still haven't got my main car ready on the rd. to sell or not to sell how sure am i that it will be done how sure am i that it can get a wof for trip lol for the get it done part if plans go good will be done by the weekend wof is my real worry i can fix any issues just not if they said i need cert for somthing this is my back up back up wheels if i can get my 15 month old son off it

i don't really know much bout carbs but seen alot of people talking bout bike carbs could they be a option?

time seems to be flying by i seem to get to a got point on my car then have a set back was ment to have wof and be road testing work out the bugs this week but car still hasn't driven under its own power yet only 2 weekends left panic

were are ya and when you say rims im guessing you mean mags not just a set of steels?

hahaha not quite its a nissan bluebird dash just what was laying round in a wreck looks bit of a mess when ya zoom out lol

yep all on the same stalk if i unplug the plug and just put a pos feed down the park light wire /indercators would that work? to rule out the switch

earth on the dash or the switch or the lights them self? coz the lights them self only have 1 wire to each and just earth to the body when ya bolt them on

its both but what ever your doing will be the brighter so if you have a indercator on it will flash bright and the park lights will have a dull flash this is a pick of the dash with park lights on the lil indercator lights on, on there too as that is the major mods to wires are on the back of this dash so thinkin its a crossed wire but i few guides on things to try to rule out possable issues would be good

photos and a big update coming the car is now starting still got many issues to work through majors are fuel tank seat belt wire issue exhaust front suspension im just bout to drop the car to the exhaust place so that will be ticked off the list

ok update we have had a win with the wires and the car now starts on the key found out that the power to the coil only got power on key start postion so im guessing that would have been for the old bellist resistor set up there was no key on feed wire any were in the engine bay so i traced the coil wire back cut it and joined to key on power wire since im running a gt40 non bellist coil next found the trigger wire some one had swaped the pins in the plug so poped that out and swap it to the right way still didn't go traced it back to a plug the sits behind the headunit area must be missin a bit of the loom in my box not sure what it should do but appears to go in and out in a loop so just cut the wires from the plug and joined and the car started right up now to start working through the other issues can anyone give me ideas why when i turn the indercators on all the park lights flash and when i turn the park lights on all the indercators light up if i unplug the rear lights the left indercator works fine with no park lights but the right one still brings the parks on then if i plug that in and unplug the front its the other way around the right one works fine but the left one lights up the park lights, there is only a pos wire running to each light and the housing is the earth got me stumped i havn't tested if the charging system is working yet headlights work high and low park lights go (weird link with indercators) indercators go (weird link with park lights) tail lights go park and stop dash seems to go couple warning lites don't seem to go but i don't think they been hooked up on a roll now

cheers could you do more detail like you started i wont blame you if its wrong just would give me a idea what to test as what i found out so far basicly what kpr said White to battery pos via fuse link starter trigger black/white earth wires seem to be all white/black yellow white wire is the charge/battery dash light black yellow is power on with key - so gonna use this for carb idle fuel kill thing (donno if thats what its for or not) what ive got left to work out yellow/green green/black green/red green/- blue/- also trying to work out why coil power wire not powering up on key on thats the last bit to work out to start via key still have issues with lights looking at putting some earths in see if that helps can anyone make these bigger and clearer or get the same thing bigger and clearer

so many options im looking for ideas for toyota ke35 hinges the pin dosn't look like it comes out has big flat bit top and bottom

can ya just buy them somewere im guessing you would have the drill the old one out?
