well this is the ke70 sedan that i brought last week young kid that owned it has wreaked it buy shoting it with paint ball guns and letting mates damage it on the piss planing on building it as a boso looking daily driver to save my escort abit. planing on fitiing ae86 rear bumper and boso pipes chin spoiler guard mirrors wided steelies need you guys to give me some ideas going to run standard 4k for awhile then thinking about sr20 or 20v 4age or something twin cam unsure heres the pics it looks like a wreak at the moment as stripped it back abit too. if any1 got a flat front ke70 bonnet thats algood for sale pm me

Mipa is a good product I paint all my perk jobs in it because its a bit cheaper than ppg and always been happy with it.Rjp should be able to make that colour or close . Good luck mate I can see if I can find that colour on the ppg computer system on Monday if u like?

Hoping someone can help me I'm running 2l my mk1 escort I took for big drive about month ago and devopled a misfire when warm runs fine until it's been at running temp for 10min then the rev gauge starts jumping round and misfiring its running a seirra electronic dizzy I've changed plugs leads new dizzy cap and rotor arm new igniter and coil and run a new coil feed checked earths and all wiring but it all ways comes back nothing makes a difference hope someone can help before I go mental Cheers Alex

ok sweet as already checked all float levels ill hopefuly take for test drive on thursday night and start tuning from there.

any1 on here good at tuning bike carbs ive got a set of balancing gauges any ideas on what stuff should be set at?

ok it runs good at idle and revs 2 about 3500 to 4000 rpm then starts coughing and spitting.

thanks man that explains alot but why would the motor run better when those holes are blocked off?

it fired up yesterday had 2 block 2 small holes at front of each carb and it run mint expect 4 that a pick up or the oil pump is hitting on sump and making a hell of a noise.

not too sure on that but all the flatslides i have mikuni's and tm's are venturi activated, ie there is no pump as such the slide opening and needle lifting away from the jet allows the fuel to be sucked into the intake charge. If one of your plugs were wet but not all check that the fuel stop plunger that clips too the floats hasn't slipped off the float bracket as that will make it flood that cyclinder what do mean by having no pump?

i have rebuilt the motor might rip bike carbs off and run it in on standard carb get it running mint then chuck bike carbs back on so i know everythings algood. i think im just been 2 excited to hear the bike carbs run. ive checked all my dizzy and timing marks but il check them again. my plugs got wet when i started playing with polit jets so il turn them back 2 standard. intresting on jet size retep130 i read article on running and installing them and they said 2 run 1.5 what size and type of carb are you running? and yes they are flat sides thanks for the help so far guys

hey just wondering what kind of system your running to fuel your bike carbs? like what fuel pump? pressure regulator?

hi just wondering if any 1 here could give me some info on tuning bike carbs on 2l sierra motor in my escort. ive just fitted 40mm bike carbs off a gsxr1100 ive had the jetts drilled to 1.5 and a fuel pressure regulator that turns presure down to 1-5 psi ive tried a few things checked the float levels had a play with pilot jetts set it at all fuel presures i can and adjusted timing checked spark thats algood. but it sounds like 2 wants to go but will never fully fire up just a quick fire then die cant work it out hope someone can help? cheers
