  1. Shit so its been a while since I have posted something up about the car but since I have started a new job recently I have to wait to accumulate some annual leave up so I can go down and work on the car. I have however made some decisions on what supercharger setup I will be going for and I wont be going down the same road as sheepers with the m112. I will be going for this instead. Here is the set up in a BMW V4YWlrsDtEc It has a way better sound than the M112 and can put out some big HP I should also have the air suspension system hopefully by the end of the month and will post up some pics when it does arrive. There was some major dramas around getting the front struts done trying to communicate with auzzie and getting heaps of measurements and pics done to get it right. But it will be awesome once it is done.
  2. Shit sheepers if you wanted to chop the roof you should talk to my dad hes done a few in his time. He did a nice job on his 49 Ford Merc that he had, hes going to be up at the end of the month to pick up my new car if you want him to come over and access if you want??? Squarer bodied cars are a little more difficult to do and can look like utter shite if not done properly.
  3. Just going on information that Ewan gave me in regards to his conversion in his Supra. I had originally thought about using the same heat transfer system that come with the M112 off the mustang anyways as it would at least be a factory option and not take up so much room as to what Ewan did with the cooling system directly under the supercharger.
  4. I will be very interested in how you get on with the m112 conversion as I will be doing the same for mine I will be able to see how you get on. Are you going to do a heat transfer system or run with some sort of cooler type system as I know there is a lot of heat generated due to the fact that the engine is all alloy.
  5. Another update: Was talking with my dad last night and he has started on the bonnet for the car. He has chopped up the RA28 bonnet that Mike gave me to get it to the diamensions of the RA25 bonnet and is going to get rid of the windscreen panel vents to shape the panel the same as the rear of the bonnet. Next thing for him is going to be reskinning the bonnet with the scoop as per my last model pic. And yes I kept the side vents from the bonnet as they will be going back in. I was looking at getting a wiper panel of another RA28/23 as my one is pretty much stuffed but there aint a hell of a lot of these cars being wrecked at the mo. So some progress being made while I am up here in Auckland which is good and hopefully my dad will do some of the panel repairs that I dont even want to touch just in case I stuff it up and warp the body.
  6. I forgot to put a pic of how I tied in the new chassis to the old so here you go. [*]http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=19465&start=60
  7. i have a head from my old GTO that has a mild cam in it if you want it $50 and it yours. PM me.
  8. Yep still going to do LED tail lights so I will give you a bell and we can work something out. = Cheers for that. Big A
  9. The airbag set up is from auz from tubular suspensions systems as they are the only ones that do the strut bag set ups I need for my car and they are really professional. for the back I am going slam specialties bags with the e level air management system and aucuair valve block.
  10. Well just updated some pics after working nearly two weeks on the car and have progressed well. Next is the air suspension which I have ordered but had to put on hold till I get another job which hopefully wont be to long.
  11. So I cut out all of the old floor and made up a new chassis which sould be plenty strong enough. Another shot of the chassis. and another
  12. Had to redo the front flares as when I put the rims on it looked all wrong. So this time I made them longer to make allowances for any metal to be cut back for when the rest of the metalwork is done.
  13. This is what the car should sit at bottomed out on the air bags at the front.
  14. Soda will be the best it will strip away everything you need like bog and paint, then do the sand blast on the the rusty parts so it doesnt spread further. Make sure as soon as that has been done etch primer the car so it doesnt get all rusty again. See my car for what I have done and that will give you a good indication of what to do. If you need to replace metal just do it rather than bogging it up as the ol cancer will come back with avengence.
  15. Thats nothing compared to the rust on mine, at least you dont have to replace the whole floor. Be careful when sandblasting as it sometimes can do more damage than what its worth if you are going to blast the whole car. If you want to go back to bare metal then I would suggest soda blast or something similar and then just sandblast the areas that are effected by rust to stop the spread any further. Once this has been done black epoxy the whole thing so you dont get anymore surface rust.
  16. Damn it, trust me to be working that day. GRRR!!!

  20. ahh yes the good ol GTO my first project car I had, now I am all sad. Good little car those have fun with it I did with mine.
  21. I think this weekend might be out for me too, might see if I can get out there on monday night or the next weekend after I get my tattoo done.
  22. Funny you should say that I was gonna give you a text on the weekend to see how you were going on yours and yes agreed I think she will be as tight as a ducks butt.
  23. I had made sure I made a list of stuff I wanted to get done before I went done which was 16 things but I only got 6 of them done. I knew I was going to be strecthing myself a bit but thought might as try and get as much as possible done in the time I had. My dad was pretty impressed with what I did get done so must have been going hard out. LOL
  24. Last day of working on the car so there may not be anymore posts for a little while, but I am happy with the progress I made in the two weeks I had to work on the car. Hopefully I wont leave it for another 6 months or so like last time, I iwll have to organise some more time off in a few months to go down and work on the car some more. A few things held me back which was out of my control so hopefully next time things will go a little smoother.
