  4. anyone have an engine stand i can borrow for a few months?
  5. wired it up last night and fired it up, pretty quiet, doesnt shake the ground or anything, ie no low bass sounds camera doesn't have the best sound capture in the world, so when i open the door it sounds the same but really its louder in person. just waiting on some coin to buy the rest of it!
  6. how are they the wrong type? are they just setup for bikes? where would you buy one of those anyway?
  7. im buying some this weekend hopefully ill pop you a txt
  8. i can still see the photos (mint) and im not on gheyacebook, have you at least tried the link?
  9. made a bit more progress this weekend, hope to have it up and running by the end of the year! chucked a couple of bails of batts in and then lined it with hardies, did a rough job, but no1 is going to see it so im not worried, then moved in the compressor. Took me ages using a log to lever it and rolling it on wood on pipes. mmm motor starter/pressure switch wiring also went to steel and tube and bought these. Have a friend that works at Topmaq so got 20% off all the air tools/hose/fittings so a female adapter will screw on the end of that and the hose will plug into that. Will have 2 hoses. and because they are both drivable
  10. YES! they found there was a crack in on of the head bolt threads(they plug them up on a crack test) when that was ready i picked it up and the oil pump fucked out on the way home, only did damage to a conrod bearing, but thats all been fixed. they said it was ready tues, so went in thurs, but it wasnt ready as they had to replace they throttle cable and it was very stiff/sticky so they said it would be ready Friday arvo, Went in Friday they said they couldn't fix they stickiness, was fucking horrible to drive, couldn't drive it nicely had to stomp on it to get it to move. had a look at it, traced it back to the pedal, thought it was missing a bush, went to get a replacement, but i took off the grease they had caked around it and found their was a bush, so took it off greased it up properly and now it drives sweet, just needs a tune and new tyres then a legit wof but its alive and driving finally >.<
  11. think bubblegoose has one, PM him, hes in chch
  12. good to see a steady amount of work being done, its coming along nicely! with that gland/grommet you are using if you need anymore any size, I can get as many as you want for the price of postage
  13. in exchange for escort engine rebuilds? ummm just a small amount of funds towards power should be all good!
  14. if that falls through, theres always room at mine shouldn't be a problem
  15. when i get some drop sheets see your looking for a place for your car, im sure here would be fine, but its miles away from yours, maybe last resort?
  16. bit more progress on the compressor shelter, nothing fancy, doors at both end for ventilation if it gets hot, hopefully line it next weekend and move the compressor in,
  17. so same time 7.30pm, same place? tower juction/speights ale house park, this Friday ?
  18. sounds good, but if its a 'multi' run there is likely to be a lot of cars? will there be enough room to park up easy at these places?
  19. im going holidaying down that way over n.y aswell, could bring it back up in teh van
  20. got a bit more done today, laid the slab, hopefully get the rest of the shelter done next week, also lined up 2 bails of batts, just double line it. does anyone know how much airflow these things need? would leaving the door open at one end when in use be enough? or would it be alright even if it was shut?
  21. yeah thinking that so got get some rubber blocks or something that i can bolt through, Digging was easy, its just sand tbh not like out in the country where it would be all stony
  22. Not sure if its a good idea posting this here but hey its a project! Wanted an air compressor, but one with grunt so i bought a 7.5kw 3 phase which puts out about 30-35cfm also about 200L, got it off a panel beater in Blenheim. Its old but to buy one new and smaller one its 3-4K and this was 500 so ive picked it up a few weekends ago, about 8.5 drive with no problems! started building a pad/shelter on the side of the garage, miles from the house by Right next to the neighbors haha, Took half the fence from here for a wall turns out the post are about 1m deep thought it was be easyish to dig the holes for them, pain in the arse to get the dirt out after so far down hoping to make more progress tomorrow!
  23. my neighbor has one, said he would be happy to help me so ill see what i can do?
