Hey guys I know its not oldschool, but I'm trying to help my friend with his skyline project. He's put a RB25 de+t from a R32 into his R32 which had a RB20 de in it. He was just put in a new tidy loom, theres a couple plugs that aren't plugged into anything? He hasn't changed the airflow meter so its got a green sticker one in atm. What computer should he be looking at running and should he be swapping his airflow meter? Does anyone here map computers? Also he has a T3/T4 turbo with no waste gate on it which he wants to put in, wondering how we go about this? information? links to pages? bolt on parts? Cheers guys

Hey guys I've just moved down to Wellingotn, so I've lost all my contacts and mates rates places. So if anyone knows is or can do any of the following for beers or cash I'd love to know. I need to measure the PSI of fuel as I beleave its flooding my carb would love to have use of a hoist and welder to weld on new set or extractors, or have someone do it for me and other usual ongoing car related stuff, like where to go for guys who are lax on wofs cheers!

My thought was it was the carb, rang weber specs and they thought it sounded like the carb so taking that in to be looked at asap.

I went to webber spec and brought a brand new carb said what engine size and cam i was running and he gave me what i hope to be a carb to suit. Cars at parents but will try find which 32/26 it is when I go round there.

I'm from auckland, dont have a rev counter but it guess 4k maybe late 3000s?

I've just rebuilt a 1600 xflow, pretty much replaced everything that can be replaced and had most surfaces machined. It has a lumpy cam so i expected to run ruff but it barely runs It's ok at idle and low revs, runs like a dog and almost dies when the revs pic up a bit then seems to come better at higher revs. We timed the car to old timing points then took to a mechanic who retimed the car at about 20degrees advanced, runs as stated above, dizzy has slight play but dont think this is the cause of the problem. Have a new 32/36 carb which I dont think was adjusted by mechanic, this could be the cause of my issues? but looking for other suggestions as I have some doubts the carb tuning is to blame. Thanks

No I only have the mega jolt unit itself atm, i asked slayer00 if he could make me up a wheel and how much that would be. Ok what better to go through my crank or cam? Or am I forced to use either? What coil should I be buying for a 1600 crossflow? whats the best way to mount the wheel? Cheers

Check your points! I had what I thought was a problem with my coil as it had a very weak spark but turned out my dodgey points were to blame.

I went and checked a couple things on my car in the weekend, the engine is a 711 block and I have the right mounts on the correct sides, which only leaves me with the thought I have the wrong sump. So I'm gonna try get myself another 1600 escort sump. Thanks for the help guys

I dunno I'm just using what was holding in my 1300 (what is came with), could someone chuck up the meaurements of the engine mounts for me that would be awesome, nd I'll check next time i go see my car.

Does anyone know if theres a differnce between the mk1 and mk2 cross members? and does anyone know if this would solve my sump issue?

I'm 99% sure my 1600 sump is a escort one, I had a cortina one and like gaz said the bowls are backwards, my sump sits the right way but is just to big.. If the engine mounts are the same size this kind of only leaves me with the option of modifying a sump? Anyone doe this and could have a quick measure up of there sump would be tops otherwise ill just try measure how far down the crank comes and give myself another 5+mm same with pick up.
