  2. Would you guys be keen to meet at jellie at sometime on saturday afternoon, around 1pm or something? My cars still in Dunedin man, i've got a 82 Corona, i've got to go down and get it off its pink sticker before i can bring it up. And Rxocsm, no need to worry about that man haha, i havnt ridden in ages either
  3. Anyone keen for a ride this weekend? i have just moved up from Dunedin to work up here. Dont really know where any of the good spots to ride are. Im pretty keen to check out Jellie and Washington park, keen as to see what ever else the city has to offer as well. If there was enough people interested it could be a pretty mean group ride.
  4. viewforum.php?f=2 have a look at the thread for my corona dmooresta, had some really helpful info passed on.
  5. Oh yeah, sweet as dude so the camber wont be more on one side then the other for any reason? thats kind of what i meant haha, had trouble wording the question.. Yeah man here she is.. Just keeping it in dry storage at the moment, no idea when ill start building it up, its pretty rusty. not even sure if its savable chassis wise. sat outside for 7 years down by swampy river, was covered in moss when i got it! hahaha
  6. just bought sigma lca's if i was to chuck these in with the stock suspension, would i need camber tops to adjust the camber even or will it be sweet? Hopefully they fit.. lol, can i drill new holes to bolt the corona tca onto the lca? if it doesn't line up that is? Dont think ill need f series strength behind a 2tgeu haha, any idea what model it came out in man? I've got a rusty TA41 Carina deluxe tucked away in my spare garage, anyone know what rear end they came out with? 12TU and Auto, guessing early T series. Work commences on the beast this weekend! Cheers guys
  7. Awesome dude thanks for that, am i able to switch to the late t series axles, or would i need to switch housings? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =375361210 Would that be the model Sigma that has the LCA that i am after? Ill be sure to email him to compare prices with other stuff i have lined up anyway man. Have you had any experience with techno toy tuning gear? im pretty keen on a set of there steering arms
  8. oh yeah sweet as, nah my car is manual steer dude. haha yeah i guess im planning to upgrade most of the suspension so i thought why leave that out. i want to run different width and offset wheels on the front and rear aswell so it will help even the track out a little. are there any cheap swaybars from different cars that you can use on them?
  9. sweet as cheers man that helps out heaps. So ae86 steering arms will bolt up. will the ae86 power steering arms work with the corona steering rack? I found this website http://ajps.com.au/parts_ajps.asp but thats in australia, i think they were selling parts on trademe though Is there a lower control arm available from another model toyota that are a bit wider and bolt in?
  10. oh yeah thats cool i wasnt really planning on doing to much to the diff other then rebushing the link arms and lsd or locky.. What model lsd should i be looking for small axle t-series or big axle?
  11. Yeah man ive looked at your build thread your rona was slammed as Oh yeah sweet as, i was actually considering getting a set off yahoo, because im going to buy a set of wheels from there for it aswell. Id put a build thread up for it but i dont have pictures... but its a dark brown 82 sedan thats pink stickered for cut springs haha but yeah its currently got konig rewinds on it but ill probably sell them, ive got a 2tgeu and t50 etc to drop in it aswell thats where im at so far with it but im saving up to spend some decent coin on it.
  12. nah man its a sedan, and thats a real bugger about the ae86 suspension, looks like ill be needing to make some adjustables then. Is there a better front strut/brake setup available from a different model toyota that bolts in? what are the springs and shocks like to drive on man? i was thinking of running 7-9 kg/mm springs in the front and 5-7 in the back, do you know what spring rate yours are? Any ideas as to what kind of spring i can use in the back? they run a t series diff factory dont they? im assuming if thats the case i could use ae86 rear springs? ill have to chuck a build thread up once i get started on it! cheers
  13. Hey guys ive just purchased a corona to do up as a bit of a drift hack/daily, and im a bit unsure what suspension i can bolt into the front and rear, ive heard of s13 suspension being used in the front with the s13 lcas etc, but id much rather use toyota gear as im kind of against cross breeding makes of vehicles, what i want to know is will ae86 suspension bolt in? Feel free to make any suggestions im also looking at purchasing a strut brace of nict, so that info would be a massive help as to weather to will fit my car or not Cheers
  14. Hey man sorry to hijack your thread, but im wondering if this is configuration is possible to use on a car also? i have a high pressure efi fuel pump but i have converted my car back to a carburettor setup, Needless to say im a bit worried that the pump is going to nuke to the carby and im looking for a cheap way to solve this problem. Awesome kart by the way i've alway's wanted to build one with a 250cc 2 stroke, Aprilia rs250
  15. This is my 1982 Ex lancer i picked up about 6 months ago in exchange for a ke20 i had. It was originally running a td05h, custom high mount manifold and multipoint injection but i couldnt afford a decent aftermarket ecu to run it all. so i sold the setup. it looked like this. Then i put the old single point injection setup back on, but the injection manifold i had was very rough and had been modified to suit an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, which i didnt like the look of. I had sourced a starion one through a member on here (palmystar i think?) but i couldnt afford to purchase it at the time. It sat like that for a few months while i was being a lazy prick, i tried swapping it off and selling it, but i didnt get any interest in the hole thing only people wanting to buy parts off it and its just to tidy to wreck. Which leads me to where im at now After those couple months of neglecting it i have finally got some motivation to get it going, so ive spent this week sorting out what im going to do with it. which is get it moving under its own power as soon as possible. A fellow dunedin Os'er 76lancer. Has given me a sigma 4g63 and the parts required to get it going carby non turbo for free, what a gc! so i ripped the old engine out and started putting the timing gear and waterpump off my 4g62 engine onto the sigma 4g63. when i then found that they were'nt going to fit, which was a bit gutting as the sigma engine was missing these. So i've put the sigma engine on hold for a little while untill i can afford to get the required parts for it, and put the 4g62 back in the engine bay which im going to be running with the carb and exhaust setup off the 4g63 Thats where im up too at the moment, will have an update for you guys next week which will hopefully include a video of it running! Also im after a alternator with brackets and pulley to suit my engine if anyone can help me out? i need a mint front bumper and lower valance aswell. send me a pm if you have either. Cheers Sam
  16. To be honest im not sure if its fitted with lock stoppers or not, i had thought of that though. will have to have a look next time im at my garage. Ive also got some adjustable bottom arms and my car has had the castor rods lengthened to suit these. not sure but perhaps if i was to refit the bottom arms and wind them out a bit i might have a bit more room in that department to get a bit more lock out of the setup. anyone know what it will cost for a rebuild kit for a sigma 4g63? Sam
  17. My ex has sweet f*ck all steering lock and that just isnt going to cut it for me, im hoping to achieve a steering lock similar to a kp6* starlet possibly a little bit more. so is it possible? and what mods would i have to perform to achieve this? I would really love to convert it to a rack and pinion steering setup but i have a feeling that is going to be a little bit out of my depth, has anyone done the conversion before? as id be keen to see some pictures and get some advice from them. Cheers guys Sam
  18. hey mate my old man has an hb viva that hes pretty set on putting a 12a or 13b in aswell, you should make a build thread when it starts coming together as we wouldnt mind checking it out. Id say your best bet with the manifold would be to go down to an engineer in your area with a watercutting machine and see if they can make the flanges for you to suit your turbo etc Ive got a turbosmart wastegate im keen on selling as well, if your interested send me a pm
  19. Legend! that would be awesome, let me know how you get on
  20. ok sweet as, i think thats all i need to know for now, guess im just gonna have to wait for a type II setup to come up for sale.
  21. Cheers dude thats good to know, pity your setup wont work on my engine cause the way you have modified the position of the throttle body would cut down my intercooler piping length quite a bit. Will the type II setup require a starion ecu to run it? and how hard are the type II units to find? Sorry for all the questions haha
  22. Yeah my current computer and loom is the factory 4g62 cordia one with the loom modified to suit the ex. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =332508603 Anyone able to confirm if that is a type 2 starion manifold? (looking at you fuel haha) I was wondering if the fuel pressure regulator would cause that to happen, but the manifold setup i have at the moment has been cut down for it to fit, ill just get rid of it when i get a new manifold.. and ill probably just take it to a garage with a gas analyser to get the afr checked when i get it going
  23. Awesome cheers for that, if i get a starion eci manifold etc can i use my current loom? or am i able to bolt the cordia turbo throttle body etc onto the starion manifold and use it like that? and if i was to run it without an intercooler for a while how much boost would i be safe to run?
  24. Hey guys hit a bit of a wall with my lancer and i need a few questions anwsered before i can decide what to do with it next. First of all i need to know if i will get away with running a td05hl turbo with a 38mm external wastegate and hi mount manifold on the standard ecu and single point injection. and if i will need to modify it in any way? i have a 300-350hp electronic fuel pump and rrfpr already Is there any single point injection setup that will fit my engine and run on the standard ecu with my setup that has the water inlet on the front of the manifold so that i dont have to run a extended radiator hose? I have a multipoint injection setup thats all ready to go on to the motor but im a bit broke to fork out for a megasquirt or link at the moment, but i would like to know how difficult it would be to wire in a tune one of these to suit my motor? I have a sigma turbo 10 bolt disk brake diff and my handbrake cables dont fit, im wondering if theres any handbrake cables of other mitsi's that will fit straight in or require less modding then the lancer one? And if you know of any threads from this forum or another where this conversion has been done if you could post them up that would be awesome. Cheers Sam
  25. Mint cheers man didnt think there would be, Crossmembers have already been done also
