  1. Im chasing a miss in my 4ks rev range after modifying it with dellorto sidedrafts and a kennelly 244-305 cam grind, think the carbs correct but im thinking maybe i need to to get a adjustable cam gear to account for the new cam grind? Cant seem to find the factory spec of the cams centerline, but the new cams specs are intake =105.0 and exhaust =109.0, if any one has any info on this would much appeciate your imput to either eliminate this as a problem or mend it, cheers
  2. just a wee FYI for anyone who is interested, my seats out of my ta61 carina in my display picture there bolted straight in to my kp60 starlet
  3. in some forums on the internet people are saying its as easy as drilling two holes in the sliders, but on my starlet rails you could do that on one side but the other side the slider is the actual frame work of the seat, just wondering is there other starlet rails that consist of two flat sliders?
  4. can some one please shed some light on how i would mount these recaros to my kp60 seat rails? or maybe there is a couple different styles of seat rails from the kp range? or better rails to suit? I just cant see a simple solution to mounting them to the rails i have in my starlet, any tips would be appreciated
  5. Just wondering if anyone has ever fitted ke70 exterior door handles on kp Starlet? and if you was much modification involved to get them looking nice on kp door? because its near impossible to find chrome kp handles but can get ke ones brand new on trademe. thanks
  6. you could take to a wheel repair place, it want cost f all to get them fixed, ive had nasty as curbing and a dent removed out of a rim at automation her in Dunedin and only cost $40.00 through the books
  7. this part was helpful, no diagrams tho if anyone knows of any: SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR GROUND-SWITCHED SYSTEMS Many Japanese vehicles, as well as a few others, use a "ground-switched" headlamp circuit. In these circuits, the headlamp and beam selector switch break or complete the ground side of the headlamp circuit, rather than the feed side. On these systems, it's imperative to use both negative and positive existing headlamp wires to trigger the relays. It is tempting to run the existing headlamp feed wire to relay terminal 86 (trigger feed) and simply find a convenient ground for relay terminal 85 (trigger ground). However, this will not work with ground-switched systems. Run the vehicle's existing feed wire to terminal 86, and run the vehicle's existing ground wire to terminal85. Now, what are we going to do now that we've used-up our one and only ground wire on the 85 terminal of the low beam relay, but we still have to install the high beam relay? Go to the other side of the car and you have another ground wire! Remember, the relay trigger circuits can be as long as you like, because they take insignificant power. So, you can extend the vehicle's existing headlamp wires to your relay mounting location. It is fine to use this method regardless of whether you have a ground-switched system or not, so go ahead and use it if you're not sure.
  8. want to put a headlight relay into my kp starlet and Toyota have there dip switch set up through the ground from the lamps, Wondering if any one has a wiring diagram or can run me through how to wire in a relay to the circuit or does anyone know of a plug in kit
  9. yea coronas and supras have same chassis i beleave? MA60, GA60, RA60, SA60, ST140, SX70, not sure if there is any difference in springs from IRS and fixed rear end
  10. its square, my analog ones fucked out, so thought it would be a cool addition to have a digital one (not a nessesaty by any means), wondered if early 90s hiace or something may fit
  11. Anyone know of a digital clock out of another model car that fits in kp60 starlet clock spot? factory analog clock measures 57mm high and 57mm wide side to side
  12. clown who owned my da before me replaced the rear d2s shock oil with motorbike shock oil, so its bouncy as f@#K, If anyone knows what grade oil they use from factory that would be a massive help to me thanks
  13. My bad, Its a TA63 i found this build tread of a TA63 sedan, he used AE86 BC coilovers in the front and just had to redrill the strut towers (viewtopic.php?f=17&t=15151), this should work in my car right?, I pmd him to find out what he did with the rear, his reply is as below Rears I ran the adjustable bc shock along with some ford sierra wagon springs. or you can run any of the following: Standard BC red springs that come with the set (these make your car crazy low, and the perch spacers arent great and look are bit sus sitting on the factory perch!!). Land Rover Discovery springs for a softer ride (cut to height) Ford Sierra Wagon springs for a stiffer ride (cut to height, about 1 and half coils to get it to the height i had it at which was pretty low) GX71 springs if you cant find the above, but these are pretty crappy and too bouncy. anyone know if there is any difference in suspension setup between coupe and sedan???
