The guy up here hates "Jap Shit" and I've seen him test suspension travel by jumping up and down in the boot of a car.
Every time I hear of an interaction with him it makes me want to trailer my car down to Auckland to see @cletus
Whangarei? lol have heard that too.

I replaced our GS430 with an LS460L, still miss the GS several cars later. Better car in every way than our current E61 530d wagon (except boot size obviously).
FWIW the GS430 would do 7.9L/100km open road and somewhere around 12 in town.
What was the LS like compared to the GS?

I reckon you may have just got off lucky looking at those pics!

If you can’t get anyone in Auckland I could possibly shoot down from Whangarei. Would be next weekend though.

Firstly, fuck yes @64valiant. Thats great stuff. Glad the Monkey happened. Also those 750's are quite nice. Smaller (than a lot of similar cc bikes) zippy and more than enough. We had one at Adrenalyn for a few months and it was my favourite lunch time bike.
I got full license because of working in bike shops, but also because I couldn't get a motorcycle international license without one. NZ's intl DL only has a 'motorcycle' section that they will only stamp with a full class 6. Where as a lot of other countries have an extra page for smaller bikes/mopeds and then the full size section.
Got pinged in Asia twice now (Once with 6L and once with 6R) I tried showing just the NZ license and they wanted international, saw the bike page wasn't stamped, emptied my wallet. So a niche reason but if you ever want to be properly insured for riding bikes in other countries, even if it's just a twist and go in Bali, it's worth the effort. So a big fan of the monkey? Did test on a grom and quite liked it. Also @64valiant thoughts on monkey?

Could I feasibly buy a Honda Monkey (new one) and do restricted and full on that? Or too small?

Oh bugger. Missus and kids didn’t want me getting motorbike licence so I told them I’d gone and done a safe scootering course. How the fuck will I explain the blue licence lol!

I got my learner motorbike licence last week and they kept my full car licence and sent me a blue learner licence instead. Is that right? It does have car endorsement and motorbike L on the back.

The new black ones are still the new font. It looks wrong.

Most WOF guys are fairly up to speed on circlip adjustable shocks now.
Damn I didn’t want to hear that.

In the past, Stocks converted a fork type to eye type for me.
If you're not in a hurry I'll have some Ohlins coilovers available sometime near the end of october, though.
Thanks. I really want to avoid going the cert route if possible.

I want to get a set of Koni yellow shocks (the circlip ones) for an EG civic but everywhere seems to list the fork type rear shocks and I need the eye type. Can anyone direct me to a company that knows what they are doing so that if I order them I get the correct ones?
Cheers!(or if anyone has some that’d be cool too)

I shan't be bringing mine if she's behaving like she is now, phwoar
How old? Could pair her with one of my little she devils and they could go play on the road together haha.

I would be keen if I can bring a small human or two and not stay for too long (because they get bored of car chat pretty quick).

Not sure if this qualifies but I love my little eg civic. Taking the kids to netball this morning I got a yell and thrown a shaka. Thumbs up back and then after parking up the same cunt drives past in identical civic, low as fuck taking his kids to netball too. Had a chat about the low sitch. An hour later second daughter ends up playing his kid and having a bit of banter as they smashed our team. Turns out we both had the same colour, carby, low ks shit box eg civics and both think they are the best cars in the world. Both dreaming of b16/b18/k20/k24 swaps. Is this the os shitbox bromance dream?

@Shakotom the last few tanks we've had (brim to brim, speedo is bang on) are about 6.7l/100 I guess mainly urban driving and EVERY time we go anywhere from our place we have a 300m hill to climb over, each way there and back.
On a long run, best we've had Blenheim to nelson was 5l/100 (hannah driving)
I would’ve thought they would be more fuel efficient than that? I can dip into the high 7l/100km range in a Mazda 3 mps with passengers on a long trip. That’s opening it up on the odd passing lane etc. That’s a 2.3l turbo. (Admittedly it is very easy to halve that economy figure with enthusiastic daily driving)
Not oldschool but... (Ubco 2x2 E Scooter)

Can you hack it and raise the speed limit?
