yeah he doubled up the factory intercoolers with the worst welding ever. claimed that black paint was the best on intercoolers because that's what Mitsubishi put on them from the factory... despite the likes of the models with actually good intercoolers (ie Evo, E39A Galant VR-4 etc) have unpainted intercoolers. he's an idiot, but he does have some good knowledge, he just thinks he's the authority on everything and comes across as a prick.

    Phil?

  2. (I'm no expert but) why do you think you actually need more pressure? i thought the lifters just take out the slack so it was purely down to differential pressure being enough to keep the slack out of this system (without getting to pump up scenario)

Or are you thinking existing pressure would be too low to keep lifters 'slackless' as a result of new cam/rpm or something?

  3. @bryan for my location, place of work and flexibility, PT to me is all of those things. Unreliable, slow, inflexible...and so it is for losers who have no place to be I'm a hurry, and thus despite a level of frequency of service busses are pretty empty. Cos doing a shit service more regularly doesn't actually help

  4. Imo congestion charge is flawed unless it's only intention is to help pay for viable PT alternatives, how does it help improve people's lives otherwise, which should be the yard stick imo. Can't just make things harder

Auckland is a spread out city, and there are regions still poorly serviced by PT. People also don't all live work play local as the city isnt developed that way, crossing the city is a pretty regular feat, especially if you have interests/kids and travel in a less direct line from home to work and back which seems to be the simplistic view applied to commuting and therefore public transport
