  5. http://www.cleaningsupplies.net.nz/defa ... tegory=113 this is it
  6. Go to Phillip Moore by Ak Prison, 4L water soluble degreaser (non solvent) and is mean on engine bays is around the $20 mark... (my cleaning supplier) it's green in colour and I can't remember what it is called... can check my stock will bring some anyway. (after Pony Partays- assuming they go ahead rain or shine) Removes that yuck film that builds up on under bonnet paintwork so reckon with steam would be even betterer and you can water it down for paintwork, more contentration for the yuck stuff so lasts really well. Not as bummed about missing out on this as I would be had I not wrecked my whip : (
  7. might stay home and sulk with my broken car actually not an option, have a pony party in glenfield, possibly a 2nd one on way home in hobsonville... this earning a living thing is a killer!
  8. hit me up soon, steven too in his landie... go sand duning (I need new tyres on Rangie first) live at Muriwai anyways...
  9. why do the two Ak meats have to be next door to one another... rolling from Muriwai here!!!! Anyway my good car disabled. : ( Will try Carl Jr some other time. Keen for a Long Bay Beach or similar BBQ meat before the summeryish weather is over... should be heaps of parking on a weekday evening.
  10. fuck just relaised I'm triple booked... decision time
  11. We spoke of you... Chris said the skids were there... didn't look (or know where he was speaking of) I lold at you welding your container shut so your dad doesnt ransack tools... Payback I would think going by how many tools me and older bro aquired from our old man.
  12. it is the whole x member, not sure how we missed it chaps, (it was dark) the x member should be parrallel with swaybar... it isn't. One of the steering rack mounts is sitting noticeably higher than the other. Anyhow, have spare will chop springs that are in it so pulling it down won't be hard, need help/guidance to remove springs from the Chevette... want this done ASAP or it won't happen for ages. That is all, pics tonight in my thread- have to go earn some $$$

  14. Thanks for the help! Glad to know the Chevette is safe Cheers again Chris, will arrange time to meet Stevie boy with the trailer... Cheers again for your garage Nedmond. Cheers for the lift/tools/trying to fix Tai. Cheers for getting grubby Fast135 Cheers for having a torch on your cell Ed. Cheers everyone for being such GC's! Wasn't room for me to assist with trying to fix with these guys trying their hardest to get us mobile... we (me and the wife) were well impressed!! Thanks to all the boes who jumped in to the rescue, shame it wasn't an on the spot fix. That x member looks pretty toasted will get some pics of its crookedness when I get it jacked up on blocks, hopefully its just the dodgy part fast135 thinks it is so I can still go for canes... ITB Induction notes= If whole x member is bent (unlikely wasn't that big a hit) will likely take me ages to change over. Suspension would have to be swapped onto new front end, not a very easy task.
  15. (wheres the facepalm emoticon) Everyone at Camp Crazytim is crazy tired... after the shenanigans and Tai getting us back to Browns Bay we had to pack kids into wifeys car (OS username: blondie) and drive back to Muriwai, get kids to bed, have crap nights sleep, woke up late. Sarah has just said she feels like we were drinking last night... post Chuv-wrecking blues? Got first kid out the door in time for bus (just)... 2nd kid being prepped for daycare as I type... think I'll drop her off at daycare and rock home for coffee/brekkie/cuddles with long suffering wife. Was super glad she was with me, she would never have believed I wasn't driving too fast when I bottomed out on that damned ramp!
  16. And return favour... BBQ/Pool whenever suits and more offstreet parking than you can shake a stick at.
  17. Whose gana tell Brad I broke his car? Dam c-ment in way of cross member... Thanks so much guys, Sarah really got to see first hand what OS Boe-hood is aboot!!! Legends, will trade again.
  18. (jokes of course, OS far too gentlemenly for that kind of carry on.)
  19. haha was thinking this today... remembered theyd moved. good shit, cya @ 6pm! (yay I get to drive chevette tomorrow!)
  20. All good man. Just join us for the cruise back. Meet at Placemakers at 6ish. Then we shall cruise to the meat. Chur Will join in on this action, leaving from north shore now
  21. Shit I'm slack... since last post have only had a few sessions trying to buff up the shitty spray bomb paintjob (looks half decent though) reckon one more buff over the drivers side and it will look as good as it will ever look without repainting properly. Located heater hoses that fit so water is all plumbed up now. Painted stock steels orange. Look OK with the chrome beauty rings and pie dish caps. Finally managed to remove bonnet badge from rusty old bonnet. Cleaned it up today, apart from where someone hit it with a sander looks nice. Hard to find item... Still need to do: (list is boring and more for me than any of you) Mod front bumper brackets, put bumpers on (Chevette items front and rear) Accelerator cable and bracket fabricated. Bit of engine wiring, hopefully have someone lined up for this when he has spare time. Add clamps to fuel hose on underbody... anyone know how far apart these need to be? Remove fuel tank so external seal can be fitted... doh Put carpet back in, refix door cards properly, sill guards, trims etc etc blah Clean up seats and re install. Hopefully getting a Manta steering wheel for Brads car, bosskit and wheel from that will go here.. Need chop rear springs, obtain shocks to suit. Clean paint overspray and 30yrs of yuck from glass. Fit CD head deck... cassette deck face plate is AWOL. Purchase/find/steal a new battery. Tune the Webers. WoF - Reg - Skids on!
