  1. so yeh i had an exam yesterday morning and it was fukn shit so i came home and was like fuk this im guna paint the car. 7 cans latter lol...hea r the results. its a bit rough but i rekon it looks hepas better than gay primer, and looks way tougher too lol
  2. hmmmm i had a friend come round today... his name is mathew......mathew black....mwuahahahaha. pics tomoro
  3. haha i know how you feel. i spent about 2 hours trying to get my car going once after it had been sitting. checked plugs, carb, fuel etc etc, then finally reasiled that the lead from the coil to the dizzy had fell off.....my bad lol.
  4. yeh i think its just the offset a, cause its a 185 tyre on the back (not huge obviously but yeh). tried some sweet hotwires the other day with whitewalls. once the car was dropped back down the guards were like sitting on the tyres, and that as only with the 2inch drop. ah well, just have to keep rocking the steelys. going to get them powdercoated white when/before/after i paint the car, so should look alright, and polish the hub caps up so they all blingin lol. found a weber sidedraught manifold the other day (ive got the cast head so yeh, like finding half a needle in a haystack lol) dude wants 300 buks for it and that $USD. i think i just have to accept its slow and always will be unless i put a new engine in haha
  5. any thoughts on its final stance?. i really really really want some rims for it but nothing ive tried so far fits under the back guards, the offsett is always wrong. mayb next year when i have some coin ill get them rolled and try jam something up under them. the balloon tyres done really do it for me a haha. i want a look similar to gaz's (i think) cortina at the rear before it got bunged up. amazes me how many people stop to talk to me about it, i think 99% of them are over 50 lol its awesome...i remember when....blah blah blah....oh havnt seen one of those in years...blah blah....the ol' billy bunter a? (lol that one cracked me up) ....u can tow a 18ft caravan with those things...hmmm thats good to know lol
  6. quick pic of how it sits now with the new blocks. the other side is actually lower at the back by bout 2cm lol and it was the side that was to high before lol go figure. pretty stoked with how its turned out, i dont think id want it much lower, it hits the bump stop easily at the back so i myt trim that i bit. so it went from this (when i first had it) to this (how it sits now) it will stay like this for a while now as i have exams then im headin back up to thr tron for summer, but il get into painting it as soon as i get back, thie is the paint ive got, chevy/GMC light blue metallic so yeh thats it for a bit. fuk i wish i had 4 weeks to spend on the car instead of studying.....

  10. hey guys. just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of somewhere that i have a chance of gettin a wof with my hunter. its got compressed springs (are captive as) and 3 inch blocks in the back. i have 2 inchs ones that i can swap over but i cant be arsed. so yeh, does anyone know of somewhere that are a bit leneant ie look the other way? everything else is all good, is got a wof at the mo so yeh, just dont want spend what i payed for the car getting it certed lol. im in riccarton but dont mind taking a drive. chur chur
  11. another study break...lol. now have 3 inch blocks in the back, has about 1-2 inches of travel before it the diff hits the bump stop hmmmm myt have to trim it a bit. ill get some pics up when my gf gets home with her camera
  12. haha fair call. would also save me buying bigger lowering blocks which i plan on...hmmmm haha
  13. not much of an update, but ive done a bit of tidying up on the car. tracked down some more hubcaps so ive got a complete set now. have been tring on mags left right and centre, and the offset is always wrong, and the tyres wont tuck under the guards. so i think i myt keep the steelies and hubcaps, and drop the back another inch or two, probably just one otherwise itl be sitting on the bumpstop. heres a few more pics. cheers quite like this one haha old skool represent
  14. lol would id be worth being seen with a whale in the back seat just to have a even car?
  15. hmm now that ive driven it around a bit, the high side is actually leveling out. i sprayed crc all over the leaves, so mayb they have settled properly after me moving the little things that hold them in place. yay for me. going to look at some hotwires tonight, with whitewalls
  16. mayb not getting enough fuel? hence fuel pump havin a spazim. mayb
  17. yeh i myt try that, swapping them over. i dont think they are set different, as i measure the distance from the axle to the guard on both sides with the car jacked up and it was within 5mm of the other side, so yeh maybe a broken one. it looked tricky taking them out lol ill give it a go tho.
  18. took a study break and put everything back together.........drum roll please..............its still the same as it was before!!! fukn pissing me off a. im prety sure it must be the leaves. thinking of goin into bellamy and east and having a chat with them, maybe get them reset or sum new ones made up. when i get time, ie after my exams, i myt take everything apart like remove the whole rrear end, and then piece it back together and c if that helps. unless someone else has any ideas? oranother set of leaves would be sweet, asked a guy on trademe if hes got sum, hasnt got back to me yet, fingers crossed
  19. the littlew things that hold the leaves (shackles?) were sorta in random places so i made sure they were in the same place on both sides. hopefully that mite make a difference, havnt had a chance to drop it back down yet. i was guna take the leaves out but it looked hard so i didnt lol
  20. would be keen but i hav so much shit to take with me and my parents want their car back(which is a subie wagon) so it kinda makes sense to take that so i can load it up to the roof with my junk. also as much as i like driving my car, the trip all the way home wouldnt b the most enjoyable lol its not the greatest open road cruiser
  21. well i took the shocks out and droped it back down to see if it changed anything, which it didnt, and thers nothing in the way stopping the rear end from moving up and down, so it must be the leaves. is it possile that maybe over time they have settled at different heights/stifness? this is the onlyt explanation i can think of. cheers
  22. i reside in chch. but im goin home to the tron to work over summer. which is gay. cause i want 4 months to work on my car!!! uber gay
  23. i cant remember exactly but i think the car was a bit off level before i put the blocks in a month or so ago. the lower side has dropped a lot and the high side only a bit. ill take the shocks out when i get a chance and have a good look at them
  24. hey all. ive got 2inch blocks in the back of the hunter, but the left hand side sits like 2inches lower than the right hand side...lol. ive checked to make sure everything is in properly and lined up etc, but couldnt find anythiong wrong. so ive narrowed it down to the leafs or the shocks. would it be rooted shocks that are causing this? cheers
  25. hw much work is involved in putting the l20 in? new mounts for engine and gbox i assume...much else?
