  1. Haven't done much to the garage recently but i have started working on my back yard. I've built a huge vege garden...it's about 8m long by about 1m wid and .6 deep...the backyard is a mess at the moment. Going have the lawn on two levels all flat. Start: Part way through Finished:
  2. It's a stupid dog crossed with another stupid dog. Chihuahua x Pomeranian or something. I don't like it and it doesn't like me, which suits me fine.
  3. Got a cheap bench/shelving unit from Mitre10 yesterday. It's a lot bigger than i thought, or the garage is a lot smaller...not sure which but gets my tools off the ground. Will still go with a folding bench when i get the time to do it...the bench will do for now. FYI The thing in the cage is not mine, it's the flatmates. Its a weird creature.
  4. Finished lining the walls this morning. I need to tidy a few things up that i'm not overly happy with and then sort out some shelving and a work bench. Pretty keen on the folding work bench idea at the front end of the shed.
  5. Thats a good idea, i'll look into that once o finish lining it etc.
  6. Purchased and moved into my first home about 8 weeks ago. The garage is a small poverty spec single Skyline type. I got bored a couple of weeks ago and decided to throw up a couple of sheets of ply so i had a place to hang some of my tools and maybe a put a work bench etc. Long storey short i enjoyed doing it so decided to put up some more the following pay day. Budget is minimal hence a couple of bits every fortnight, eventually the whole shed will be lined...well the walls anyway. I might have to re-do a couple of bits, the studs are not 600 apart so some sheets are to big or too small etc. I don't really have a plan as such but i would like to some day run electricity to the shed, just some basic hot points and a couple of lights, all i have at the moment is a solar light i got off tardme which is only really good for helping me not trip on shit when i get home at night. I'm not glueing any of the ply down at this stage for that reason. I'm just running an exstension cord from the house for the power tools as well. Likewise if anyone knows a sparky that might be able to help me out with that on the Kapiti Coast area that would be a bonus. Shit pics follow, sorry no decent before shots but yeah have a look anyway.
  7. Have decided to sell this.... $1 reserve.... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=526579575&ed=true If the buy now is used I'll deliver in the Auckland area for free.
  8. The light kit did come with one but seems little point attaching it without the wiring etc
  9. Just got them off TM http://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/cycling/parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/auction-495026126.htm
  10. Comments, ideas, criticism and abuse welcome.....
  11. So purchased my self a Raleigh 20 for my birthday. Wasn't going to do anything to it, and by OS standards i haven't really touched it at all but thought i'd start a thread anyway. When i got it : White walls added: Cheap dynamo light from Ebay bolted on but not wired up because it never came with any wiring and i'm to useless and lazy to figure it out: And that's it for now. Maybe next on the list is a Brooks saddle or similar style because the current one is a bit un-comfy, and maybe new rims and brake cable etc etc.
  12. whatever delete my account then i can't be fucked with this site if there are people like this on here....
  13. Have been without a car for a few months now after selling my ute. Got this to throw my bike into when i head out to Woodhill and to Rotorua and Tauranga etc. Will still use my bike for around town stuff can't be bothered with traffic on the motorway everyday. No huge plans really, probably just some sounds if anything. Runs well, a bit rough around the edges but not bad for what i paid. Has 6 months WOF and Rego so will be happy if it lasts that long.
  14. Was a good to finally put a couple of faces to names from the forum here and see a few of the cars. I didn't hang around to long but was good while i was there. Thanks heaps.
  15. Have won these on Trademe.....Will see how they fit/look and suss out some new tyres and go from there. Got the set for $83 so if they dont fit or look like i imagine ill move them on its no big deal. If they do fit and look good enough i'll pollish them up and repaint them. Was thinking of running 185/60/15 tires...any other better ideas/advice? My brothers 89 l200 has given up the ghost so im claiming the 5 speed box and new cluthc etc from that in the next few weeks, now all i need to do is locate a decent enough 2 litre to drop in and maybe lower it (pending how these wheels look) and i should be set for a while.
  16. Will try and make this. Have a friend coming over fro the USA so unsure exactly where i'll be but if i'm in Auckland i'll most likely be there....touch wood.
  17. Might have picked up some ok looking 14s of tm, any suggestion on tyre size to go with? Also have my eyes on some 16s in Rotorua but im not 100 convinced on them yet. Same again any suggestion on what tyre size i should go with? I was thinking 185-195 somthing arather around there.... wheels in question.... 14s: currently wearing 215/65/14 rubber 16s: 16x6 with 1.7 inch offset/45mm
  18. holy hell man that sucks. hope your insured!!! was good to meet heaps of people yesterday, was first time my ae85 has been to a meet all painted. look forward to next one. Yeah i've got insurance, don't know how pleased they will be though with me ringing and making another claim in less than a week. Hopefully this claim will be as painless as last weeks one.
  19. Gutted i missed it. My house got cleaned out by some cunts while out so the morning was spent figuring out what was taken. Its the 2nd time in 1 week.
  20. +1 A guy I know has one in his L200, it's great fun to drive, maybe the same one? Radman, the ute looks sweet, what's the interior like? Interior is average to good. Depends what you call good. The dash is cracked in 4 places, door cards are sweet (dirty) rubber/vinyl floor stuff is a bit worn through. The worst part is the seat, the upholstery is shit but nothing a seat cover cant fix. Basically its all original down to the AM radio and old vinyl smell.
  21. About as coupe as coupeness can get. I'll ask him next time i'm talking to him.
  22. My mate has an old 1980 eterna gsr sitting in his garage. The body is shagged from some old bird who thought it would be fun to drive into the side of it. The engine had a full rebuild not long before the crash. My mate has offered me the engine and gearbox (sohc 4g63t 5dp man) etc but has no idea what he wants for it all. Any idea on what sorta price i should offer him? Will the engine and box bolt in to the ute without much trouble? or should i keep looking? He may be willing to part out whats left of the body as well.
  23. Small update. Got sick of the oil leek but didn't have time to fix it myself so took it into mechanic down the road. According to the guy that worked on it it was leaking from a cam seal and its also leaking from the head-gasket. Got the cam seal replaced. Not bothering about the head-gasket will just have to keep a 4l of oil behind the rear seat and keep topping it up. Hopefully the new cam seal will slow down the leak a bit. Will be very slowly gathering the parts required to chuck in a 4g63 over the next few months.
