I swear Holden Captiva speedos read slow. Got a ticket from the camera on the downhill motorway thing into Wellington that I knew was there and made sure I braked for.

I think making the rule post 2000 instead of post 1990 would have been a lot more practical since cars from before 2000 are mostly fucked and/or hardly ever driven

Should have bought the more bulbous "hi-flow cat".

Uh yeah if you have a new thing with emissions you know what you got yourself into. Keep it working or gtfo.
Fuuuuuu 348 is registered as 1991 even though it's 1989
Will it pass an emission test?

These guys have good accommodation very near Waikaremoana.
Around $30-40 per person for lodge/dorm style and a few other options. They do meals but you have to order in advance (hearty roast of the day kind of thing) and have to be there at the specified dinner time. About $30 for dinner and $20 for breakfast.
A++++++ would trade again

Keen.
The Waikermoana road through Murupara is a good'n - pretty sure @V8Pete took the mondeo through there at some stage too.
It's a great part of the country that many people will never see.
There is a good campsite called Kaitawa. Has a pub onsite. Lake Wakamarino has a choice old powerstation from memory - (Tuai) The roads out the other side are very scenic with nice sweeping corners etc.
Totally need much more self-sufficient through there - much quieter than East Cape which is saying something in itself..
Still Keen.
I went in and out the Wairoa side. There were a few hairy bits near Waikaremoana itself but luckily they graded it first thing the next morning.
Went in and out the Murupara side in a daily driver about 12 years ago. It seemed like forever but maybe because I'd started in Auckland.

All of the above plus
Waikaremoana - ideally go all the way through to East coast.
Koutu Boulders and Hokianga
Whangaroa and St Paul's Rock

@Bling have rattle guns etc
ratchet spammers for real right spots, small jobs were I can just have in pocket when climbing and also easier/safer to have on lanyard when people working below
hard to keep battery gun and socket in one piece if you can only lanyard the gun
might try the facom ones seem to be slightly different to all the rest
this is the bit that usually breaks
Facom ones are bit more recessed which may help?
I saw these recently and thought they look cute
Also love Facom though

Flying out of Chch on an ATR now requires a trip through security. They have installed temporary fencing so you can’t sneak past.
Experienced it first hand last week flying back to QT.
I think that's only temporary though...?

The Vantage speedo seems to be bang on or like 0.5 km/h more than GPS speedo speed
