  1. hey guys i know it has been a while but im letting a few things go so thought i'd post them up Firstly, due to lack of time money and space i am parting with the 7mgte. Sadly You can find it on Trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =194058677 and Secondly, I am selling my spare parts car, It is not currently running (only as i took the alternator and rocker cover off it) and is derego'd and no warrent but would suit someone looking for a project of a different kind. As you can see from my "Good" Crown they can be done up quite nicely. If interested please make an offer. I would prefer pick up from marlborough but can sort shipping at buyers expense. Cheers Simon

  4. it's already got a greddy metal headgasket and a re torqued head so the bhg problem should be a thing of the past. im in the process of replacing all the big end and mains bearings also. fingerscrossed i shouldnt have to many issues with this motor

  12. hey man looking good when i checked it out last night!
  13. Just a few engine bay shots and a couple of interior photos
  14. yea i had it on trademe last year to give me an estimate of it value and i had several offers round the 7000 mark. as for my parts crown the motor is knacked the radiator leaks and i think the big ends shot due to low oil. i took the rocker cover off it and had in polished and it now sits in the engine bay of my good one ill post photos soon, a quick 5m transplante could fix the motor troubles 90% of the rust in it has been cut and primed interior is a bit rough but could still make an awesome project car. im gonna hold on to it untill my current project is fully completed then i might look at parting with it or even starting again.
  15. My next plans for my crown are to drop either a 7mge of gte into it which ever pops up first. It would be nice to have at least 200hp as opposed to the trust reliable yet sluggish 110hp at the mo. i have bought a w50 5 speed celica box its sitting in my garage just got get round to swapping it over.
  16. I found another crown almost identical for 500 bucks!! so i bought it as spare parts which worked out great as my alternator had given in so i had a spare. this model however is 4 speed coloum change with a bench seat up front meaning it could house 8 people!! unfortunatly it will stay a parts car as its de rego'd and no warrent One day i might get round 2 putting a 2jz in it haha but we will see.
  17. After many solid hours of cut and polishing not only did i have a very strong right arm but the paint work was starting to look alot better After a good think of which wheels would suit this odd jap wagon i decided on the american classic wire wheels after all it does look like a small hearse. These photos were taken after swapping the standard rims with 14x7 wires with lowerider style 175/65/14 stretched onto the 7 inch rim, which ment the tread just sat in the guards nicely Once the wheels were fitted i couldn't have wires with out the white wall tyres so i had circles and stripes paint ont the white walls for me. then came the decision of ride height, i wanted the car to look low but only having 14 inch wheels ment for it to be guard low the chassie would sit on the ground, so i came to the conclusion i would make so the guards just sat on the top of the wheels. this also ment it was 80mm off the ground and could still drive over 'some' speed bumps.... If you look at the boot between these two photos you can see i found some trim to replace that which was missing off the boot after driving round 80mm off the ground the muffler started to take a hiding and one day gave in and fell off. which worked out alright as it was abit of an eye sore i had a resonator welded in place as its much smaller and clears the ground nicly and the tip bend out the side all spreyed matt balck to keep it low key. The next thing i had to do was darken the windows i tinted the windows all round with 30% its noticable darker than 35% however its still warrentable ...well it is at the place i go to...
  18. I bought this car off an old man in picton who was the 1 and only new zealand owner before me. It is a 7 seater with dickie seats in the boot which face out backwards, this makes it a great cruiser:) it has a 2000cc 6 cylinder M-U soch carby motor in it with a w40 four speed floor shift. These photos were taken the day i got it as you can see its in really good condistion and has been garaged its whole life. however with age the paint had started to oxidies if you look closely
  19. yea im gonna need abit of luck to find one. im planning on dropping one into my 1980 toyota crown wagon since it has an m-u in it now i figure go m power and keep the same block(plus its a cheaper alternative) http://groups.msn.com/classicrown/newzealand.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=3719 http://groups.msn.com/classicrown/newzealand.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=3717
