Cheers Yup its gun metal grey, am going to try have the paint finnished by the end of the week

Picked up all the paint on friday and did a test area. Engine bay painted Sub frame, struts, sway bar and heaps of other little bits have all been painted black .

What gauge is the steel? ... iv got a med size sheet folder G just might be a tad thick. It takes sheets up to a meter long. could give us something to do over summer. Cancel that just saw the posted link thats way cheaper and alot easyer!

Some insperation on how to achieve lowness

Ok cool cheers, I will grab some more primer and try build it up with that.

Have gotten to the stage were im wet sanding the primer and i can see small scrathces in some places, probably from using to rough a grit sandpaper prior to primer. Do i need to worry about these or will the paint fill them in? you can not feel them only see them when the light is on an angle. So was thinking there must be the following options A) sand rite back with a finer grit paper? Apply some high build up primer?, or C) she will be rite? Thanks in advance.

The price for the 7100 is $83 plus GST ... bit pricy ... Know of any options slightly cheaper? Might have a bit more cash after holidays to get one

Nick and I striped the engine bay back to bare metal with paint stripper and wire brush and have etch primed the engine bay, the car has been basicly completly striped down to its shell with all windows removed etc, we are just working on sanding the body back for primer at the moment and getting the guards smooth. A big thankyou to Nick for all his help and Gaz for the shed
