  1. almost forgot, Keegan reminded me. Will be there, no skyline though as i still need to fix ignition on it yet.
  2. Prob going to take up Amys offer this allows me to acheive other stuff i had planned but not miss shenanigans.
  3. so the 240k is broke and as this is this weekend i wont have time to fix it so whats the general possibility of a ride? i probably shouldnt come due to other shit im supposed to be doing / needing to save moneys but im sure that can be worried about later. plus i didnt do much for my birthday last weekend except for heaps of racing hah
  4. also its a bit odd with my coil situation. MSD for the coil recommend 3.5ms dwell time which is what i was running yet i cooked my first ignition driver just before track day, my second one at track day and now i have a 3rd one in there but havent started it on it as im a bit worried plus i need a new coil also as when second ignition driver blew it burnt out the MSD coil. clearly things are getting hot and usually wrong dwell times are the cause so i dont know if its worth trying to get a replacement coil out of MSD as their settings are clearly wrong. and its $120 coil which i fried because of it.
  5. couple more from the zclub guys, i think maybe in the pic below my tyre pressures were a bit low or my lack of negative camber is giving me grief, either way 28 psi all round just gripped so well but after looking at that i dont know how it didnt pop of bead hah,
  6. so 20+ psi will do this to a radiator pipe haha i think for now i am just going to hory something up out of pvc pipe and paint in matty b. i will in the long run make a sweet one out of alloy and put some fins on it and shit to try get some kind of cooling effect. i also am going to make a duct on the bottom of the bike to direct air up over the super charger and intake piping as it all sits behind the engine and gets quite warm. how hot would one expect one of these engines to run? i have put a temp probe on the spark plug after a run at it was about 160 deg at the head. im not sure if this is epicly warm or not. i have not put a oil temp sensor in yet but the oil doesnt seem overly warm. also 87kph on the new lynn drome, yeya. pretty sure stephen was going about the same speeds as me but he doesnt have a speedo so i get bragging rights haha. put it on av gas for last sunday also fuck it goes, find my self hanging on like im riding a bucking bull cause of flat seat and not wanting it to straight up leave me behind.
  7. Sorry was boss was on the cards to but car broke down so had to sort all that out, maybe this weekend eh. i have it all under control aye just in to much of a rush the first time as usual.
  8. Was a awesome day and Don has so much knowledge, defiantly a top bloke. He took me for a ride in his C110 with L3.1 and i have to say my L2.4 plans have taken a backwards turn. So much go from stock parts. But i did take it home on a trailer, had ignition problems again, blew another coil driver and fried my coil. Fortunately it happened half way through my last run so still had a full day of hooning. LSD's are max fun so much extra grip and controllable over steer/sideways. Gearbag is gay though Dons closer ratio box is way sweeter for hooning. So with the coil noobed out when i put the MSD coil on and should have checked primary coil resistance my dwell settings were sweet for my shit old coil i took of it but lush new spec coils with low primary resistance need low dwell times so i was over charging the shit out of it and subsequently why it has cooked everything, oh well new coil and set it up properly and ill be away again in no time. Thanks to Tom, Rob, Morgan and Shane for rescuing me.
  9. the paint came out on it really shit, metallics are fun to spray so i put it in the to hard basket for leadfoot cruise then a austin maxi has occupied my paint bay for some time and has only just left so am going to fix it up before nats and slap it on. just been lazy pretty much hah.
  10. Racing at taupo with the Z Club this weekend. Going to do fluids tomorrow but have sorted out my shit gear stick setup. So i have slapped in the proper C110 gear stick now so my elbow doesnt hit the seat trying to hook second gear hah plus it feels like i have put in a sweet short shift kit with the amount of play i took out of it haha. Have mounted wide band in the dash and turned on the EGO settings in the MS, so now im using the AFR target tables. What a awesome difference target tables make for fine tuning your tune on the fly. Hits perfect AFRs about 99% of the time now. Stay tuned for next update probably containing video's, lets see if i can smoke some Zeds haha.

It grunts now, used to struggle to do 65-70kph at Hamilton but can do 80kph by the end of the straight, could go faster but tyres are that shit that when you enter the corner at that speed due to flat velodrome the side wall is just flexing heaps and making me do weird snakeys hence why i want new tyres now. 90kph should be quite achievable at taupo or rotorua drome with big banks. dont know if i really need to up the jets by 40% lol at current 5 mins of droming drinks 1L of 98, id love to put a wideband up it and see how rich it is cause i think at current its so rich it chokes up a bit but when it boosts it loves it and just burns plug off haha. i can see why they would change their oil, as far as im aware meth is corrosive to alloy and since the block is alloy if you got it in your oil i guess your engine would dissolve from the inside out.

  19. also it boosts of the gauge, gauge maxes out at 20 psi but still goes hard and has plenty of fuel. need ideas to cool my intake charge down though. pretty much cannot touch intake piping after a 10 min run.

  21. Wow. It didn't blow up. It is fast and 80.6 kph top speed round a flat Hamilton drome.
