  1. regarding cert ... can i make my own fuel tank? fuel feed ,return and breather are ill in the in .tank fuel pump setup i will be using.. want to use sheet steel much like the factory tank. cheers
  2. Afterfucking around with different trumpets I hated them all part from the 1st ones I bought... So I bit the bullet and got a mate to macihne down the tips of the ITBs and now im happy ....how i wanted it from the start ant not a fuckinh silicone joiner in sight
  3. sweet cheer mate ill grab it when im at the stage of putting it all back together...its in oil wrapped in clingflim till then..
  4. huge thats to Pete (valiant) for a 25 spline LSD carrier and the tools he made to check the breakaway. and it ends up being 100 ft = 135.5nm so thats pretty good led me to think it may have been shimmed . Pete also said it could be dirt /rust. i decided to pull it apart and soak it for a few days but it turns out its pretty blood clean so i cleaned it up anyway and it turns out it is shimmed. i rebuilt it with some LSD oil i couldn't find the torque specs for the diff ( @RUNAMUCK has some)but they didnt feel to tight taking them apart so i just torqued them down to 30ftlbs. (will do for now as its only getting wrapped in cling film and put on the shelf till the complete diff is ready to be put together.) i did recheck the breakaway torque again and it was spot on 100 ft again so that's awesome
  5. It wasn't to dirty. But a lot cleaner now and it is shimmer.so that's a bonus
  6. yeah it was 150 foot the first time it slipped
  7. @RUNAMUCK So I got a LSD carrier off @Valiant.(Thanks again pete) He also made the parts to make testing the BT a lot easier .( fucking champion pete) so after Testing it at pretty much bang on ( maybe a wee bit over) 100 foot pounds (135.5 nm). Seem about right mate?
  8. @RUNAMUCK Does that include all torque specs?. Or do I need to do googling
  9. Good man ...that's awesome. Much appreciated. Got to get some discs/ calipers mounted on it first then I'll put it together. Cheers Bart
  10. That's awesome Very much appreciated Pete. Was it just the carrier or does it have a crown wheel.on It? And ate you sure you don't need it?
  11. For some reason I thought that might have been a 28 spline ( bloody long time ago). Do you have a need for It?. As I'm sure I'll find 1.
  12. Finally picked up my diff for the mk3 ..thanks again Karl . 1350 overall width. 3.7 ratio.( perfect) 25 spline ( not bad) axles and bearings in very good condition.... Open diff. ( just need to find a falcon 25 spline LSD ) ( had a few spare a while ago) Diff head bearings ....fucked. ( replace once find LSD .)
  13. Could just give me 1........ for Christmas even.
  14. You could make them as long/short as you want. ( depending on room) Just have to change the rail mounts.
  15. If you got the rails with it you could just use that and the injector holes and just use small tubes with o ring at each end instead of the injectors. And use that as the IACV system.
  16. Cheers man. You could use them and make tabs to where the mounts of the injector rails goes to.. But mine had 2 lots. Injector holes and IACV holes. So j used the standard holes and rail. Just cut it up to match the the ITBs. And it's just held on with the factory 2 small tabs. The rail itself looks like an injector rail and has 6 small tubes with o rings on each end.
  17. so its about 1 hose 150mm long away from having a bmw idle air control system ready to go on a old school 250 xflow. the bmw IACV (same on e use with these ITBs on the m3) using my trusty grinder and drill i made some brackets (about as engineering as i get ) found a place to mount it all and cover up the old fuel pump hole at the same time. welded the IACV pipe and painted it black and all in place just got to get a hose
  18. I did the same thing mate... I could have made an inlet manifold for mine but it would have never looked good and it would have missed me off. So I just got all the bits made and gave it to an engineering mate and told him what I wanted. He did it with no problems and a million times better than I could have done.
  19. Dude that looks fucking awesome.... Bet your glad you kept the ITBs now mate.
  20. use to have a stand that i would tack vise grips to.....to hold shit.
