  1. Yeah I should have mentioned that in the thread. Might point it out next time.  Yes- there is a standard rubber cover on the imp shifter base that will still fit. I think it was pictured in the pic of barrys shifter.

I'll just need to add a shoulder under the base (as seen in the bits I cut out)

Then along the underside of the tunnel Imps normally have a full length cover that bolts in place. I say normally because I do have one but its been sitting in the frunk of the spare imp shell waiting for me to clean it up, paint it and fit it to the blue imp.  It's only been since 2019..  I've not yet damaged anything in the tunnel but this new setup is more exposed so I'll definitely be fitting the cover up!

Customers one that was in for some work. We took it for a hoon and delivered it. It's got some fucking terrible design elements that I'll be posting up in design disasters thread later.

an rx3 would on paper be the perfect candidate for an ev swap, the electric motor is the same shape as a rotary, does a million rpm like a rotary, the car is lightweight, look cool, rotary engines are getting expensive, use lots of fuel and are loud.

Would be a neat conversion though. Hide the electric motor inside a hollowed out 12A keg. Run it through the standard gearbox.  Can still have a gilleez belt setup for water pump (presuming electric motors night have some form of cooling?)

Add huge soundsytem to pump out the brap brap, maybe an oil feeder to drip 2 stroke oil onto a hot plate for smells.

Ramflo/kn air filter on top of stripped out nikki to house electronic controller stuff (I have no idea how big that stuff is, presuming it's like scaled up rc car stuff..)

That's faster than a Ford Escort Mexico and just a smidgen slower than a Mazda RX3.

I managed to do 16.7 in my bone stock 12A rx3 at Santa pod raceway and that was my first/only time doing drags. Lots of wheel spin on the 175 tyres

  5. I'd love it but believe it or not, floor space in our workshop is too valuable.  Mainly so I can rollerskate/setup 1/24 scale rc car race tracks etc etc  but really it's because I'm looking forward to doing more things/projects in future that don't involve hefty machinery.
