  3. Done at last all back together got a wof {only needed the right headlight adjusted} & reg today & took the big girl to be valued for insurance reasons as they have it down at $16k will slam up some pics over the weekend.. Heres a copy of the valuation fucken mint $35k i can live with that
  4. Try the above things mate as dirty contacts can cause the issues your having . But also most of the tractors i work on these day have digi dashs & they show the same faults as your having . This may be a long shot but just encase you have not had a battery disconnected for long time try un hooking he batt termainals for 5 mins as this fixes it in tractors almost everytime unless they have a proper fault . But seeing as your having erratic issues it may just need a bit of a shutdown period. Pretty tech things digi dash's Good luck bro
  5. cracked head brother Compresssion test it be my 2 cents.. Some mitsi's do it real bad they crack such a way that while sitting & cold the crack allows water to seep in the cylinder so when you start it that cylinder runs like a pig {wet plug} & will steam until the waters all out .Then normally when there hot the crack is not letting as much water through so she runs good until the next cold start .. Could be wrong but it sound fucken good eh!!!!!!!
  6. Sup fellas As some of you may be aware I've been waiting for rubbers from the states for my pontiac found out yesterday they will be out of stock until xmas. . So gave up & went hunting then found these guys did the lot & had i all in stock. http://www.basisnz.co.nz/index.pasp I brought Cortina stuff off them when I built it but thought all they did was old ford stuff.. Not only do they do everything for almost everything but its a lot cheaper. Was gunna cost me $880 through Chucks but only $507 delivered plus a few extra bits .. Thought some of you may like the info

  9. chopped the guards yesterday dummy tried them last night . sand blasted em today made a battery tray to work with the box & painted them. fitted them up tonight look pretty sweet in black.

  12. sup Decided i'm going to have a crack at modifying my factory inner guards gunna chop them down the middle so they can still bot the the top edge of the guard etc if they work out do i paint them black or the copper color ???

  14. there will be a torque setting etc as it should also adjust the end float on the crownwheel to pinion
  15. agreed with leppa I just had issues on my Pontiac when changing th MC i never checked on the pushrod end etc . The factory one was hollow meaning half the length of the pushrod went inside the end of the MC piston .. But new MC did not have the hole so when i bolted it up i only had half my pedal stroke & only front brakes due to the pushrod pushing the MC piston in as I bolted it up.. I know its not the same problem your experiancing but it points out that MC can cause issues

Bumpers back on today {had a wee holiday today} looks mint as Engine bay almost back to normal too made the bonnet stay for now too also check out my fuel filler i was having issues with the old one leaking even a new cap was no help so i cut the end off the tank brought a boat deck filler & mounted it using my old number plate & a radiator hose

Reckon you've invested wisely in this project, when/if you get bored you should be able to claw back most of your coins due to a staunch as tasteful build!   20. not sure about the 2000 model bro but my Daddy has a 08 r8 ute same deal seat out bag light wouldnt go out holden were gunna charge him $150 to clear the error fuck that 4 screws i popped the dash out & crushed the bulb with pointy pliers
  21. Tanks fellas Yeah have looked at struts but not many places to fit them .I am going to try removing the springs in the hinges a putting two small struts in there . We have them on balers in shit that are as short as 120mm so should ba able to do something there as yep stay = gay Josh got it done a Shiny Bitz in geraldine mean as job & only a bloody week n a half .. Hell yes gay about the rubbers Classic restos in the states have them on backorder with there supplier & Chucks have them on backorder with classis resto's for me can;t do fuck all but wait
  22. Jeezus what a week tried to bleed the brakes & found the master cylinder seals dried out while the car was being painted . So tried to find a overhaul kit but no chance then went after a new master cylinder again no chance . Had to ebay the fucker $345 landed from the US {prolly not to bad } But it is a multi left or right hand drive fitment meaning ports on both sides & they never sent blanking plugs to block of the buggers i was not going to use .. Fuck me what a mish to find some plugs no brake place in CHCH could help me . In the end I made some out of hyd fittings & machined up some small alloy discs put them in the ports & wound the plugs up tight onto them. Its shiny chrome too Got the rear bar back today looks bloody mint $1300 it should i spose. Found out the bloody weather strip kit & Baily channels are still 6 to 8 weeks away how fucken crap is that was 4 months yesterday since i ordered them .. Gunna have to try making up a bonnet support rod to as the bonnets to heavy with the scoop on the hinges are not holding it up
  23. tanks fellows sorted now was t-light wiring there was a frayed wire there & i must of disturbed the thing while fitting the back seat in it was earthing on the body . & yep relaced the fuse too it was 40amp meant to be 15amp no wonder it didn't pop

Sup why all of a sudden when i turn the head lights on in my pontiac does the main loom under the dash start getting real hot {enough to start to melt} the glass fuse heats up as soon as you turn them on too. Also the t-lights have stopped working Fucken things were fine last time i turned them on {two days ago )
