oh yeah, esky came back from panelbeaters last week.mean. so yeah new exterior mods are: chrome grille as opposed to matte black chrome surround indicators new chrome bumper yuh so yeah i still need quarterlite, seat runners, race seats etc just in process of fitting new silver carpet, have resprayed dash in silver & have fitted my new tacho & steering wheel mite post pics up sometime if i can b fucked maybe

oh nah its all good, got some some new fuel hose left over from my car so yuh will replace that at the same time

well, dad came home with a whole new gasket set anyway so yeah we'll soon find out if that was the problem or not!also found out the fuel hose goin into the carb has some cracks in it...

compressions fine cos she drives all good. only done 75000 ks so yeah mite be eroded head gasket. i figure that yes, the moisture on the dizzy was shorting the leads etc but WHY is there moisture there?theres obviously a leak somewhere, and yeah, could b the head gasket aye, but it drives sweet az

hmmm nah ive replaced all the hoses...and it runs fine, normal power level etc i reckon (i would know, same engine as my Mk1) although ive got no idea wat revs its pulling when i drive. would help if one of the temp gauges was working too (aftermarket one goes off the clock after about 2 mins of driving)

hmmm i jumped in @ about 3pm, tried starting it & it started the 3rd time after i gave it some revs the liquid all over the dizzy cap seems 2 b radiator water now, cos it has the green tint of antifreeze im sure it was oil b4 drove absolutley fine

u can hear the starter motor doin its thang but yeah the engines not firing up/turning over. it drove sweet last nite so yeah

OK so i started up the wagon 2day, put it on choke, and it did its usual "OH BO IS THAT A TANG?!" idle. I noticed some white smoke coming outta the zorst but didnt really think much of it. Took off up the driveway then the car started dying, so i gave it some more gas (the driveway being a hill & everything) and it stalled. I tried starting it like 15 times but theres just nothing. U can hear the starter motor going etc but theres just no combustion so yeah i pushed it back down the hill & checked the engine bay...theres some oil on the underside of the intake manifold & all over the dizzy cap...anyone know wat the problem mite b??? i checked the oil level twice & 4 some reason the oil level is right on MAX

ummm dunno wat ratio my diff on the scrot is (im told its a high ratio one) but im pulling around 3500 revs at 100 km/h with some mild mods (carb, filter & zorst) on 13x6 wheels (thats on the 1300 by the way)

so yuh, turned out that the water leak was coming from the water pump, one of the bearings was fucked. so we have replaced with new items: waterpump thermostat & housing shite old airbox (now has RAMFLO - loud as fuck induction ) radiator hoses radiator cap heater hoses removed radiator & backflushed & resprayed in high temp matte black still to come: new Champion leads & plugs, mettalic pink rocker cover & new 2 inch zorst with a large Coby hotdog in the middle & stainless cannon out the back (we recieved the muffler 2day) will post up pics maybe 2moro

Just picked this up for my lil sisters 1st car 1977 Ford Escort Mark 2 2 door wagon Engine: 1300, done 74,000 kms, 4 speed box Straight as fuck, no rust, fresh coat of white paint, mint as interior has a few lil problems - temp gauge not working, sticky ignition, starter motor runs on a lil bit longer than required, exhaust leak, radiator water started leaking out today, drivers door dont shut real good, windscreen leaks BUT its fuckin mint. just replaced the old hi-stop light with a nice lookin new one, replaced the dodgy rear view mirror with a nice new one, chucked on a nice new shiny radiator cap .... tomorow i will remove the radiator & backflush it, replace the perished window squirter hoses, chuck sum new radiator hoses, new sparkplugs, new leads, test the temp sender by chuckin an aftermarket temp gauge in ive got lying round, remove mudflaps ETC ETC ETC her plans: engine mods: RAMFLO airfilter, Escort sport extractors, 2 inch zorst with stainless cannon out the back, rocker cover painted metallic pink interior: 3 3/4 inch tacho with shiftlite, Black Autotechnica steering wheel sounds: ipod capable headunit, decent amp, boxed sub (or two), 6 inch or 6x9s wheels: 13x6 hotwires or 13x6 Ford RS/Capri alloys will put pics on 2moro if i can
