So got this car back friday nite took it straight home into the garage, And the fun begins. Put it up on stands and pulled out all the suspension and stripped the car down ready for paint prep on saturday. Saturday morning shot down and got tyres removed of the rims then went and matched up some springs and also hunted for a roof rack with no luck. Sanded down car ready for paint, no need to repair dents as will add so called "character" to car. Car all painted that is all for the day time to get otp. *Note paint looks funny under unatural light looks orange Sunday reasembled car and cleaned up all the chrome, sanded down wheels and sprayed on sum red oxide, also measured up suspension and trail fitted. Just waiting on getting tyres and clip-ons fitted then i can lower it down and see how she sits and adjust to suit, also some pinstriping and old style signwriting on the doors, also some descrete sounds for the cruise down to the os nats. That is all for now.

those wheels are awesum on it. Walla just bought some wheels for his corona fricken awesum 15 x 9s i think maybe they were 8s not sure but they had 165 45s on them!!! Ya stretched to hell, you should maybe look into them, i can find out what tyre brand the are.

not much progress on this front but found a head gasket (aj150) that is going to work the bore is slightly bigger which means goint to have to get water galleries cleaned up and welded so the gasket doesnt blow. also need to get the head skimmed then we can whack it all back together hopefully for the weekend and i can go nuts and get it ready for os nats. Yeah!!!

Busy man on a very tight plan, Hope it all comes along with no hassles will be good to see it going faster than 50mph!

I talked to chris bowden about this he said he sold a g161 gasket to a guy claiming to fit it to a g150! So i sent away a photo of mine and he came back saying it could be the same as a aj150? just has bigger bore. as for the printout of the g161? or g161z? ive been asured many times that this is not going to work maybe he is missing something or its coming up with the wrong code but if it is a g161z its a massive difference from what mine is, looking at the oil and water galleries surley they didnt change it this much between models? i dont know, first time i have ever dealt with this type of engine varierty. Even if i find something that is the same its going to have a bigger bore size which is still a problem as i have corrosion from the water gallery and this might not seal as there is a very fine line from where the original one sits so i think the best optoin apart from repower is to just bite the bullit and send it to gaskets unlimited. then it will be bad ass

So got this bellett was guna drive it home to whangarei but decided to trailor it. Thank god cause prob would of made it to motorway and not much futher. Back barakes all seized up, have fixed them had a look at why overheating, pulled of thermostat housing no thermostat! not a good sign so been pulled apart and this is what we have found. mmm nice wasnt quite leaking yet but would of been no good for the circulation. So of came the head ] lovley, cant beleive this thing has been used as a daily!! allmost no water flow ] ] so here the fun begins almost imposible to track down water pump let alone a head set or something to match but have located a pump and going to get gasket duplicated anyway brad heres my gasket ] and heres a copy of the g161 apparently ]

Has anyone had anything to do with standard crown airbags. Need info on lowering these things they have two sensors where you can adjust ride height from inside car we have tried shortning these sensors on the chassis but only one side of car was lowered?? any info would be great.
