    Primer

meh, i dunno if ive heard of 3k, anyway, i imagine im using just 1k as when i talked to the person at colorworks (where im getting the paint from) he only talked about me needing thinner, which is what i was expecting

    Primer

ok, this weekend im in the process of prepping my front end for paint, i went to colourworks (car paint shop) during the week. i noticed there were a couple of different types of primer and im a bit confused as to what type would be the best, my scenario is: ive sanded/stripped back to bare metal and am wet/drying it now to get a mint surface. my main question is, wat is etch primer and what are the benefits (if any) of it compared to normal primer? thanks, any advice would be appreciated
  6. the oil cooler is actually way smaller than i was expecting, the cooler bit is really only 30 cm long, it has 1/2 inlet/outlets and holds about 300 mill extra which isnt actually that much, but with the position its gonna be in should make quite a big difference.
  7. the cooler, braided pipes, fitting instructions/nuts+bolts (rugged style) and delivery cost $270 brand new from a buy that imports shit like that from england, trademe stz but a lil cheaper cos its the same dude i got my rims from.
  8. also, cam and sparkle are coming on monday, stay inside, do not make eye contact
  9. do they look phtoshoped to other people or am i seeing shit?
  10. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/19626-enigmas-1973-toyota-corona-rt84/?p=506003 looks mint bro, are those wheels photochopped on there? any more pics, looks and sounds interesting
  11. lol i know, thats why im asking around...
  12. nah it needs to be relatively large, like one of those ones with the guy with a spade. if anyones wondering, i want it to make a mounting plate up for my oil cooler, hence the question being in my project discussion
  13. ok, does ANYONE in auckland have a mint condition road sign lying around they dont want... dont really wana use my mums car to get one from somewhere lol
  14. ok sweet, i get it, i might just look into it a bit deeper before i peice my car back together cos it will be easier to install that way. cheers for the help man
  15. the adjustable high-lows. Where in the suspention system do you fit them in? i cant quite get my head around them. lol and: do it... you know you want to
  16. is it a proper shop or just a warehouse sorta thing? volodkovich how do those adjustable things work? whereabouts in the suspension system do they fit in?
  17. was it at a place in henderson? last time i baught something off him he was selling out of his garage but apparently he's moved... I need so much stuff off him but have close to no money
  18. haha, yea ill be getting the adjustable hi=lows before too long, just gotta get mine back on the road first
  19. exact same thing happened to me. was the alternator. but ended up needing a new battery anyway.
  20. yuss, another mini! looking good man, on what engine you decide. also, where did u get the adjustable suspension from?
  21. id be careful doing the camber thing, whenever you start to camber shit, youll need new tires sooner. something you mite not wana be forking out for considering youve got low-pro 17's. you can get the gaurds professionally rolled, people come to your house, put thing on wheel hub and does it, shouldnt crack paint unless your hardout stretching it. id go that way first, they generally charge 50 bucks a wheel i think
  22. wat does the number plate mean man?
  23. lol, nah the engine ive got is a pretty good set up, 1340 head and a fairly lumpy mild race cam, lightened race valves and springs... im thinking ill just leave the carb set up as it is until a bit later on as its something i can do when the engine is in, that way i wont have to skimp out anywhere and give the engine the petrol it deserves thanks anyway man
