The L stands for Luxury. It'l be no badge if its base model, L for luxury, GL for grand luxury or GXL for grand xtra luxury.

If you turn the key over and theres a 'click' then your solenoids all gravy. Change the solenoid and see what happens, i got a new solenoid for $20 so shouldn't be much different.

Just undo the screws holding the booster in place then push it down outta the way then screw it back in.

Yuh maybe, my mk3s coil and im using a 2L diff. Was told it was from a 2000E but i think its a mk4/5 diff.

Think so. Pretty sure 1's n 2's were both leaf. Mk3's were coil.

Would it be too much compression though because there almost flat with just a little crown carved out.
