    Is it sweet to run a fuel filter before the mechanical pump on a pinto or does it have to be between pump and carb?

    Depends which way you wanna go, secondhand will be cheaper but you're just replacing used parts with used parts, reconditioning should give you the guarantee that it won't fuck out again any time soon.
  3. Teh 1600 diffs have bigger drums on the back if i remember right, 9 inch instead of 8, and were a lower ratio as well?

  5. Running mine in on the road would be illegal cause its deregistered, would having it up on stands n revving it as if you were driving be sweet or do you need the weight of the car to load up the engine?

Think i'm gonna do it the way that link on the NZPC forums says to do it, makes sense to me, might wait a few weeks 'till i get my full, then tow it out to a back road and have a midnight fang to run it in. Just gotta try not get snapped, the small as town i live in is the cop HQ for the whole region.

  8. I dont have an engine reconditioner, so kinda out of the question, don't theres too many around here, cars not road legal so cant take it out for a cruise, driveways a couple of hundred metres long so can run it up and down that, ottherwise i can't really do much else.
  9. Looking for do's and don'ts basically, should I hold it at revs or let it idle, got it in my mind that I'm meant to hold it around 2000rpm. So just let me know what works and what not to do. Cheers Guys!!!! THNX XOXOXO CYA!

  13. Nar he doesn't have a sample, its for a 4age into a ke35, no slave cylinder came with the engine/box

  18. I take back what i said when you first asked about doing this, not too keen on the paint, not what i'd have done etc but you did it properly and did a fucking good job.
  19. Got some pics, not great but best i could get atm Bolt holes compared to gearbox mount Mount on normal way, bolts are about 50mm off Crossmember turned backwards makes bolt holes go too far the other way Esky crossmember i was going to widen to use

Dropped the engine and box in today and found out that the g/box crossmember wont bolt up, if i can't suss it i'm going to have to mod an escort one to suit, anyone help me out here and what are the legalities of this? And do i have to change where my fuel line runs if its on the same side as the exhaust exit?

    So mk2 brakes don't fit mk1 shocks? even van shocks as they're heavier duty? So i wouldn't be able to run mk1 van shocks with mk2 tophats/springs/brakes in a mk2?
